A day painted in little smiles.

This Child Cancer Awareness Month, SPEAR Foundation brought colour, nourishment, and a little extra joy to the Paediatric Hematology & Oncology Ward at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

The day was filled with music, puppets, games, laughter, and little masterpieces—giving the children a chance to play, create, and simply be themselves.

With the support of IADS Bangladesh, a small session on proper tooth-brushing techniques was also conducted, turning oral health into something fun, simple, and memorable.

It was a reminder that care could look like many things—
a colourful meal, a silly game, a drawing, a smile,
or simply being there.

For little warriors, every smile mattered. 🎗️💛

A new chapter in youth engagement, cancer prevention, care and research begins! 🤝

We are proud to announce the successful MOU Signing Ceremony between IADS Bangladesh and Bangladesh Oral Cancer Research Foundation (BOCRF) marking a meaningful commitment to empowering dental students to actively contribute to cancer prevention, awareness, research, and the development of cancer databases.

The MOU was formally signed by renowned Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon, Head of Department Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dhaka Dental College and Hospital, Dr. Abdullah Masud Sir, representing BOCRF, and Dr. Nujhat Tabassum, President of IADS Bangladesh.

A Day to Remember | Knowledge, Skills & Inspiration

The Day Long Live Demo Symposium, organized primarily by BOND, was an outstanding platform for learning, clinical exposure, and professional inspiration. From the opening session to the closing remarks, the symposium was exceptionally well-organized, offering participants a comprehensive experience through expert lectures, live demonstrations, and interactive discussions.

The event featured four distinguished speakers who shared their expertise across different fields of dentistry:

🔹 Dr. Mahmud Sajeedeen introduced participants to the world of Clear Aligners & Digital Dentistry Workflow, simplifying modern orthodontic concepts, including attachment placement and intraoral scanning.

🔹 Dr. Abdullah Al Masud conducted an insightful session on Contemporary Oral Surgery, covering orthognathic surgery, flap design, suturing, gingivectomy, frenectomy, and biopsy techniques with excellent clinical relevance.

🔹 Dr. Taib Bin Badsha delivered a remarkable session on Endodontic Complications Management, featuring a live demonstration on file retrieval, re-root canal treatment, and perforation management, providing valuable practical insights.

🔹 Dr. Jagadish Chandra Sutradhar (Neel) showcased advanced restorative techniques through a live demonstration on Complex Class II Composite Restoration using the Bioclear Method, including rubber dam isolation, contemporary cavity preparation, and polishing protocols.

Each session contributed significantly to the participants' clinical knowledge and skills, making the symposium an enriching and memorable experience.

IADS Bangladesh was honored to serve as the Student Partner of the symposium, proudly contributing 10 dedicated student volunteers who actively supported the successful ex*****on of the event. This video reflects the energy, enthusiasm, and hands-on experience that defined the very first cohort of Basics of Basic.

Organized by IADS Bangladesh in collaboration with BOND, the program took place on 26 June 2026, bringing together passionate dental students from across the country. Every participant proudly participated and gained valuable clinical exposure throughout the event.

From mastering essentials to building confidence, participants actively engaged in three key demonstration sessions:

A day of learning, hands-on practice, and inspiration!
The first cohort of Basics of Basic, organized by "IADS Bangladesh" in collaboration with "BOND", was successfully held on 26 June 2026, bringing together enthusiastic dental students from various dental colleges across Bangladesh.

Throughout this day-long program, participants enhanced their practical knowledge through three engaging demonstration sessions: 🩻 X-ray Identification & X-ray Technique Demonstration 🦷 Impression Taking Technique Demonstration ✨ Scaling & Polishing Demonstration
