Disorders are certain physical or mental conditions which hamper one’s normal functioning in life. Disabilities sometimes stem from disorders. For instance, Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva (FOP) is a very rare condition which causes muscle and connective tissues to be gradually replaced by bone (ossified). That is a disorder. One can be rendered immobile or paralyzed due to this condition and that is a disability.
