Global Gatekeepers stands in solidarity and demands justice, accountability, and safer roads!

A Bright Life, Taken Too Soon
With profound grief, we remember Oli Noor, a bright and promising student of Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), whose life was tragically cut short in a devastating road accident.

His passing is not merely the loss of one young life. It is the loss of dreams, potential, aspirations, and a future that could have touched countless others. His story is yet another painful reminder of the dangers created by reckless and irresponsible road practices, where innocent lives continue to be placed at risk.

Team IUB stands in solidarity with Oli Noor’s family, friends, and everyone who knew and loved him. We mourn this heartbreaking loss and firmly demand justice and accountability for what happened.

We cannot continue to accept a reality where bright young lives are lost to preventable tragedies and injustice. Enough is enough. No family should have to endure the pain of losing a loved one because of negligence and unsafe roads.
May Oli Noor rest in peace, and may his memory remind us of our collective responsibility to demand safer roads, accountability, and justice for every life lost.

Justice for Oli Noor.
Justice for every victim.
We will not tolerate injustice.

✨ A Journey of Global Learning and Cultural Exchange: From Bangladesh to Japan ✨

The Global Gatekeepers proudly celebrates the successful return of Nafisa Tabassum Nova, Vice President of the Global Gatekeepers and an undergraduate IUB student from the Department of Global Studies & Governance (GSG), after completing her one-semester exchange programme at Kobe College, Japan.

During her semester abroad, she had the opportunity to represent Bangladesh and her life at IUB, speak at Kobe College Chapel Hour, and work at the Kobe College English Zone. She also embraced Japanese culture by learning Japanese, Aikido, Chado (Tea Ceremony), and Kado (Ikebana), wearing a Yukata during the Tanabata Festival, and participating in various cultural events.

Beyond academics, Nova joined the Japan Home Visit Program, explored Japanese cuisine, visited beautiful historical and cultural sites, and connected with students from diverse backgrounds. This experience enriched her understanding of global perspectives and taught her the values of independence, adaptability, discipline, cultural appreciation, effective communication, and building friendships beyond borders.

Global Gatekeepers congratulates its VP, Nova, on this remarkable achievement and proudly celebrates her inspiring journey of international learning and cultural connection.
