On 20 and 21 February, the dedicated volunteers of Red Crescent Youth, University of Dhaka Unit carried out their responsibilities with commitment and discipline at the Central Shaheed Minar on the occasion of International Mother Language Day.

With a spirit of service and humanity, our volunteers supported the observance while honoring the sacrifice of the Language Martyrs.

We pay our deepest respect to the martyrs of 1952 and wish everyone a meaningful and solemn International Mother Language Day.

Red Crescent Youth (RCY), University of Dhaka Unit, organized a meet-up session with new members and demonstrated some basic First Aid Training as part of its capacity-building initiatives on 31 st January.

The demonstration aimed to equip the members with essential lifesaving skills to respond effectively during emergencies and humanitarian actions. It was a glimpse of our upcoming Basic First Aid Training Programme.
Our general secretary, Surmi Chakma, introduced basic bandaging techniques.
President, Subroto Kumar Singha, discussed types of burns and their first aid management.
Treasurer, Nagib Al Faiyas, conducted a session on assessing and observing injured individuals.

As we step into this "New Year", our hearts are filled with hope for a kinder, more peaceful world—a world where humanity comes before everything else, where empathy guides our actions, and where people stand beside one another in times of joy and hardship.

For Red Crescent Youth, University of Dhaka Unit, this New Year is a renewed promise to uphold our fundamental principles with even greater strength and integrity. We look forward to growing more skilled and resilient through upcoming trainings, events, and hands-on experiences, so that we can serve humanity more effectively and responsibly.
