On July 26, 2025, One Earth Initiatives successfully hosted an interactive online session focused on empowering young people to lead the way in climate action🌿. The session was facilitated by Ar-Rafy Shirazy Antor, a passionate environmental leader and alumnus of the Amra Notun Network – BRAC, who currently serves as Project Coordinator at Project Earthcare and a participant in the FXB Climate Advocates Program (USA).

This insightful session provided participants with:
🔹 A deeper understanding of the climate crisis and its urgent challenges
🔹 Practical skills for youth-led climate advocacy and community engagement
🔹 Real-world examples of how young leaders are making a difference globally
🔹 Guidance on how to get involved in environmental initiatives and policy dialogue

The session created a valuable platform for youth to connect, learn, and commit to climate-positive actions. It reinforced the idea that young voices are powerful catalysts for sustainable change.

A Tragic Day for Our Nation – Standing in Solidarity with the Victims of the Uttara Plane Crash

Today, our hearts are heavy with grief as we mourn the devastating crash of a Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft in Uttara, Dhaka, which struck the premises of Milestone College. This tragic incident has not only claimed lives and caused injuries but has deeply shaken the sense of safety and peace within a place of learning and growth.

On behalf of One Earth Initiatives, we extend our deepest condolences to the families who have lost loved ones, to the injured, and to the entire Milestone College community. We also honor the service of our Air Force personnel and recognize the tremendous risks they undertake in their line of duty.

In times like these, we are reminded of the fragility of life and the importance of compassion, preparedness, and unity. We stand in solidarity with all those affected and urge the relevant authorities to ensure support, transparency, and necessary safety measures moving forward.

May the souls of the departed rest in peace, and may those grieving find strength in the days ahead.

🌊 World Ocean Day 2025

The ocean covers over 70% of our planet’s surface, generates more than half of the oxygen we breathe, regulates climate, and provides food and livelihoods for billions of people🐠🌊. It is not just a vast body of water—it is the beating blue heart of our Earth.

But this heart is under threat.

Every year, plastic pollution, overfishing, habitat destruction, and climate change erode the health of our oceans. Coral reefs are bleaching, species are disappearing, and ecosystems are becoming unbalanced. Yet, there is still hope. World Ocean Day is not only a celebration, but also a call to action.

Let’s remember, protecting the ocean means protecting our future. On this World Ocean Day, let’s commit to protecting the ocean and our ecosystem. The ocean connects, nourishes, and sustains us all. It’s time we give back.

🌎World Environment Day 2025 🌿
Let's unite this year to put an end to plastic pollution🚫 Plastic is choking our earth, and we are the ones who are responsible for this destruction. Every minute, the equivalent of one garbage truck of plastic ends up in our oceans. Together we can choose sustainable alternatives and save our only home.
🛑 From microplastics in our food and water to massive floating debris harming marine life, plastic pollution is everywhere. It’s time to rethink, reduce, and refuse.

Let's take one step at a time to:
