Yesterday June 12, 2026 marked the 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝘿𝙖𝙮 𝘼𝙜𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙩 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙 𝙇𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙧.Today, we choose to continue the conversation, because for many children, this reality does not end in a day.

Across our cities, thousands of street and underprivileged children are still growing up without equal access to education, safety, and opportunities. Child labour is not a challenge with a single solution it demands collective responsibility, long-term commitment, and spaces where children can simply be children.

Through , WEAVE Bangladesh continues to stand beside these children by supporting their education and creating opportunities for a more hopeful future.

Empowering adolescents to know their rights, strengthen their leadership skills, and become active agents of change in their communities.

WEAVE Bangladesh recently organized a community-level 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 on 𝐀𝐝𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧 Nohata, Mohammadpur, Magura facilitated by our dedicated Community Volunteers. The session created a safe and engaging space for adolescents to discuss their health, rights, challenges, and opportunities, while encouraging them to actively participate in decisions that affect their lives.

Through interactive discussions and participatory activities, participants enhanced their understanding of adolescent rights, health and well-being, gender equality, and the importance of leadership and civic engagement. The session also fostered confidence, critical thinking, and peer support, empowering adolescents to advocate for themselves and contribute positively to their communities.

At WEAVE Bangladesh, we believe that when adolescents are informed, empowered, and given opportunities to lead, they can drive meaningful change and help build more inclusive, equitable, and resilient communities.

This World Environment Day, WEAVE Bangladesh reaffirms its commitment to its core mandate Women Empowerment and Advocacy for Vital Education (WEAVE) anchored in climate justice and gender justice.

We recognize that the climate crisis affects communities unequally, with women and marginalized groups often facing the greatest risks. That is why we believe environmental sustainability must go hand in hand with justice, inclusion, and equity.

At WEAVE Bangladesh, we continue to emphasize that education and empowerment are key to climate action. When women and girls are educated and empowered, they become leaders in building resilient and sustainable communities.

Today, we reaffirm our commitment to:
