IEEE WIE Affinity Group Student Branch, University of Dhaka is thrilled to have been part of the amazing outreach initiative "𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐨𝐓 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐄𝐒𝐏𝟑𝟐" held at 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐫-𝐄-𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐚 𝐍𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐫 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐆𝐢𝐫𝐥𝐬' 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥, 𝐃𝐡𝐚𝐤𝐚-𝟏𝟐𝟎𝟕.

The event was designed to spark curiosity in young minds about the exciting world of electronics. Students were introduced to foundational concepts in circuits and microcontrollers (Arduino and the ESP32) through engaging sessions led by instructors 𝐅𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐀𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐧 and 𝐓𝐚𝐡𝐬𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐈𝐯𝐚𝐧. Beyond listening, participants actively worked with breadboards, sensors, and ESP32-S3 modules — getting a real, hands-on feel for building with technology and seeing firsthand how ideas come to life.

Optica SBC DU demonstrated captivating projects — an RC Car, Hydro Alert system, and Holographic Sight. These demonstrations proved to be a powerful motivator, showing students that innovation is well within their reach.

The session wrapped up with an energetic quiz, where students expressed remarkably creative ideas. Three winners were recognized, and a special "𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭" prize was awarded to a student whose idea stood out for its originality and vision.

A big thank you to 𝐈𝐄𝐄𝐄 𝐒𝐁 𝐃𝐔 for organizing this wonderful event, and to 𝐈𝐄𝐄𝐄 𝐄𝐃𝐒 𝐒𝐁 𝐃𝐔, 𝐈𝐄𝐄𝐄 𝐒𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐒𝐁 𝐃𝐔, and 𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚 𝐒𝐁𝐂 𝐃𝐔 for their valuable collaboration and support in making this outreach program a success.

From classrooms to cutting-edge chip design, a great engineering journey starts with curiosity.

In celebration of 𝗜𝗘𝗘𝗘 𝗪𝗜𝗘 𝗗𝗮𝘆, IEEE WIE Affinity Group Student Branch DU successfully hosted a webinar titled "𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀: 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴" on July 2, 2026.

We were honored to welcome 𝗠𝗼𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗗𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗲, Director of Analog Layout Design at 𝗨𝗹𝗸𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗶 𝗣𝘃𝘁. 𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱, who shared her inspiring journey from university to the global semiconductor industry. Through her valuable insights on analog and mixed-signal IC layout design, career opportunities and industry expectations, participants gained a deeper understanding of what it takes to build a meaningful career in semiconductor engineering. The session encouraged students to think beyond the classroom and prepare themselves for the rapidly evolving world of technology.

Other than sharing technical expertise, Ms. Dipthee's journey as a woman leading in the semiconductor industry served as a powerful source of inspiration for the aspiring women engineers in attendance. Her achievements reinforced the message that with determination and continuous learning, women can break barriers and thrive in even the most advanced fields of engineering.

A heartfelt thanks to our distinguished speaker for inspiring the next generation of engineers and to everyone who joined us and made the session a success.

An afternoon filled with laughter, conversations and meaningful connections.

IEEE WIE participated in the IEEE SB DU Executive Committee Lunch & Get Together, uniting ExComs from all 9 IEEE societies for a wonderful time of bonding over delicious food and a warm atmosphere. From sharing stories to creating new memories, every moment strengthened the spirit of unity and collaboration within our IEEE family.

We were especially honored by the presence of our respected teachers Dr Mainul Hossain, Dr. Md. Minarul Islam and Md. Nizam Uddin Tanim, whose support and encouragement made the gathering even more memorable.

Grateful for the connections we built and the amazing time we shared together. Looking forward to many more moments like this!
