We feel honoured and privileged to attend the Bangladesh-Malaysia Higher Education Networking Dinner 2026 held at the Renaissance Hotel, Dhaka. The evening served as a remarkable platform for strengthening academic collaboration and fostering deeper educational ties between Bangladesh and Malaysia.
The program was graciously attended by H.E. Mohamad Shuhada Uthman, Honorable High Commissioner of Malaysia to Bangladesh; Novie Tajuddin, CEO of Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS; Dr. Mohammad Fokhrul Islam, Secretary of University Grants Commission (UGC) Bangladesh; along with the honorable Vice Chancellors of University of Dhaka, American International University Bangladesh, University of Asia Pacific, Islamic Arabic University and several other distinguished universities, Directors and Members of UGC Bangladesh.
We, the Executive Members of IIUM Alumni Bangladesh Chapter (2026–2028), had the privilege to meet and convey our greetings to the Honorable High Commissioner of Malaysia to Bangladesh. We also had fruitful discussions with the EMGS authorities regarding alumni cooperation and future collaborative initiatives. They emphasized the importance of building a unified platform for all Malaysian university alumni in Bangladesh to strengthen networking, engagement, and mutual opportunities.
We are especially proud and grateful to meet Prof. Dato' Dr. Fauzan Bin Noordin, Deputy Rector of IIUM and Director of IIIT for East and Southeast Asia. It was truly inspiring to exchange views with such an esteemed academic leader.
We sincerely appreciate the efforts of all organizers and stakeholders for arranging such a meaningful and impactful gathering that will undoubtedly contribute to stronger academic and alumni relations between Bangladesh and Malaysia.
