๐ŸŒฟ A Memorable Meeting with Fadlullah Wilmot

It was a great pleasure for the Society for IIUM Alumni Bangladesh (SIAB) to meet Fadlullah Wilmot, Director of the Islamic Renaissance Front (IRF), Malaysia, and former Country Director of Muslim Aid (UK), Bangladesh.

Mr. Wilmot played a significant role during the early years of the establishment and development of the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), working under the direction of the late Dr. Abdul Hamid Ahmad Abu Sulayman, the founding president of IIUM.

The meeting was filled with fruitful discussions, valuable memories, and reflections on IIUM's early journey. We also had an engaging exchange of ideas regarding the Alumni Division and the future of alumni engagement, making the gathering particularly meaningful for SIAB.

SIAB sincerely thanks Mr. Fadlullah Wilmot for sharing his valuable time, experiences, and memories with us. His reflections are a precious part of the history and legacy of IIUM.

We wish him good health, happiness, and continued success, and look forward to welcoming him to Bangladesh on many more occasions in the future.

With gratitude and warmest regards,
Society for IIUM Alumni Bangladesh (SIAB)

Alhamdulillah! We are delighted and proud to announce that IIUM Alumni Bangladesh Chapter has officially been registered today with the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies & Firms (RJSC), Bangladesh.

From the very beginning, the first priority of the Executive Committee of IIUM Alumni Bangladesh Chapter (2026โ€“2028) was to complete the formal registration of our association. On behalf of the Executive Committee, I, Dr. Md. Tuhin Mia, Secretary General, would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all our respected alumni, well-wishers, senior brothers and sisters, and everyone who has extended their support, cooperation, advice, and guidance throughout this journey.

A special note of gratitude goes to Dr. M. Abdul Aziz, President of IIUM Alumni Bangladesh Chapter, for his tireless efforts, rigorous dedication, continuous support, and valuable guidance in making this registration a reality. His commitment to the alumni community has been truly inspiring.

Our Official Identity:-

With the completion of the registration, our society will officially be known as:

This registration marks not an ending, but the beginning of a new chapter for the IIUM alumni community in Bangladesh. From now on, it is time to move forward with our plans, strengthen our alumni network, promote meaningful collaboration, support our fellow alumni, and contribute positively to our society and country.

Alhamdulillah for this achievement.

Now, itโ€™s time to work according to our plans and turn our vision into reality.

Long way to go. In Sha Allah, together we will build a stronger and more vibrant IIUM Alumni community in Bangladesh.

๐ŸŒ๐Ÿค A Wonderful Evening of Brotherhood, Memories & Connection ๐Ÿค๐ŸŒ

Yesterday, we had a wonderful time and dinner with our beloved Bangladeshi alumni of the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), who are currently living in different parts of the world.

The IIUM Alumni Bangladesh Chapter was delighted to participate in this warm and memorable gathering, where we had the honour of welcoming and recognising six respected elder brothersโ€”proud alumni of IIUMโ€”who are currently residing in the USA, Canada, Saudi Arabia, and Singapore.

The evening at Tu Do Restaurant, Banani, Dhaka, was filled with cherished memories of our beloved IIUM, meaningful conversations, and inspiring ideas for expanding and strengthening the activities of the IIUM Alumni Bangladesh Chapter. It was truly heartwarming to see how the bond created at IIUM continues to bring us together, even across borders and generations.

We sincerely welcome our respected alumni brothers and wish them continued success, happiness, and prosperity in every sphere of life and in the Hereafter. We also look forward to their valuable cooperation, guidance, and support in developing the IIUM Alumni Bangladesh Chapter and strengthening the spirit of brotherhood among IIUM alumni in Bangladesh and around the world.

IIUM is not merely a universityโ€”it is a lifelong bond, a shared journey, and a brotherhood that continues beyond borders. ๐Ÿ’™๐ŸŒ
