Statement of the South Asian Student Council

The South Asian Student Council expresses deep concern and disappointment over the incident in Maharashtra, India, where Muslim students of Ideal College were forced to apologize and faced harassment simply for offering their prayers.

We strongly condemn this unacceptable behavior.
Every individual has the fundamental right to practice their own religion freely and without intimidation.

We call upon the Government of India to ensure that people of all communities can practice their respective faiths peacefully, and that minority students are protected from any form of harassment or discrimination.

The South Asian Student Council reaffirms its firm stance in safeguarding the dignity, safety, and religious freedom of all students.

🧭 সদস্যদের কাজঃ

1. 📢 শিক্ষার্থীদের অধিকার রক্ষা করা – শিক্ষাক্ষেত্রে যেকোনো অবিচার বা সমস্যার বিরুদ্ধে কথা বলা ও সচেতনতা তৈরি করা।

2. 🤝 ঐক্য গড়ে তোলা – দক্ষিণ এশিয়ার বিভিন্ন দেশের শিক্ষার্থীদের মধ্যে পারস্পরিক বন্ধুত্ব ও সহযোগিতা বৃদ্ধি করা।

3. 📚 শিক্ষা ও দক্ষতা উন্নয়ন – সেমিনার, ওয়ার্কশপ, প্রতিযোগিতা ও ইভেন্ট আয়োজনের মাধ্যমে শিক্ষার্থীদের দক্ষতা বৃদ্ধি করা।

4. 🌍 সামাজিক সেবা কার্যক্রমে অংশগ্রহণ – অসহায়দের সাহায্য, রক্তদান কর্মসূচি, পরিবেশ রক্ষা ইত্যাদি সামাজিক কার্যক্রমে ভূমিকা রাখা।

5. 📝 সংগঠনের কার্যক্রম পরিচালনা – সভা, পরিকল্পনা, প্রোগ্রাম ও নীতি বাস্তবায়নে সক্রিয় ভূমিকা পালন করা।

4. 📜 সার্টিফিকেট ও স্বীকৃতি – কার্যক্রমে সক্রিয় অংশগ্রহণের জন্য সংগঠনের পক্ষ থেকে স্বীকৃতি পাওয়া যায়, যা ভবিষ্যতে CV বা উচ্চশিক্ষার আবেদনেও কাজে লাগে।

5. ❤️ সমাজের জন্য কিছু করার সুযোগ – নিজের ছোট উদ্যোগে বড় পরিবর্তনের অংশ হওয়া যায়।
