As part of the USAID Bijoyee Project's goal to strengthen Youth-Led Organizations, our partner, Dhrubotara Youth Development Foundation (DYDF) hosted the transformative 'Building Partnerships with Youth-Led Organizations (YLOs)' event in Rangpur. We signed MOUs with five dynamic Youth-Led organizations to strengthen grassroots collaboration and empower local youth initiatives. The USAID team also visited Krishi Bazar, a key employer for Bijoyee graduates, to engage with youth and local job providers, gaining insights into their contributions and challenges.

A huge thanks to all the youth representatives, the Department of Youth Development, USAID, and the Bijoyee team for making the event a success. Let’s keep the momentum going as we continue working towards empowering youth and building stronger communities.

USAID Bangladesh officials and the USAID Bijoyee Project Management team recently visited the Rangpur Hub, managed by UCEP and Dhrubotara Youth Development Foundation (DYDF). During the visit, the USAID team gained valuable insights into project achievements, challenges, and future goals. YLO (Youth-Led Organization) partners of the USAID Bijoyee Project, Nobin Boron Jubo Forum and Ashamni Jubo Nari Foundation, delivered inspiring presentations highlighting their impactful initiatives and aspirations. The visit also featured a soft skills training session where the USAID team engaged with youth participants, discussing their goals, challenges, and the training’s role in preparing them for the job market.
This visit emphasized collaboration and our shared commitment to building a brighter, inclusive future.

পরিকল্পনা- সমন্বয়- রুপান্তরে বিজয়ী প্রকল্পের চার দিন!

চার দিনব্যাপী ইউএসএআইডি বিজয়ী প্রকল্পের বার্ষিক কর্মশালায় আমরা একসাথে হয়েছিলাম- শুধুমাত্র সহকর্মী হিসেবে নয়, বরং একটি ঐক্যবদ্ধ দল হিসেবে- বিজয়ীর পথচলা আরও মসৃণ ও সমৃদ্ধ করতে।

এই কর্মশালায় আমরাঃ

- প্রকল্প নিয়ে আমাদের চিন্তা ও ধারণাগুলোকে বাস্তবে রূপ দিতে, বিস্তারিত পরিকল্পনা প্রণয়ন করেছি।

- এ পর্যন্ত প্রকল্পের অগ্রগতি এবং আমরা কোথায় পৌঁছাতে চাই, তা বিশ্লেষণ করেছি।

- প্রকল্পের সব স্তরে যথাযথ সংযোগ তৈরি এবং প্রকল্পের একীভূত লক্ষ্যকে সকলের কাছে আরও বোধগম্য করার পদক্ষেপ নিয়েছি।

- প্রকল্প বাস্তবায়নের জন্য অন্যতম সহায়ক- টীম বিল্ডিং একটিভিটির মাধ্যমে আস্থা, সহযোগিতাভাবাপন্ন মনোভাব তৈরি করতে পেরেছি।

আমাদের এই বার্ষিক কর্মশালা ছিল সংযোগ, প্রতিশ্রুতি ও স্বচ্ছতার প্রতীক। পুরো আয়োজনজুড়ে ছিল অসাধারণ উদ্দীপনা, সামনের দিনগুলোতে যার প্রভাব অনস্বীকার্য!

The USAID Bijoyee Project took part in the 16 Days of Activism campaign Against Gender-Based Violence from November 25- December 10 with a variety of impactful events across the country.

As part of the Bijoyee project activities, our partners- Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center (BYLC), JAAGO Foundation Trust, Dhrubotara Youth Development Foundation (DYDF) and The Earth organized engaging activities like drama, music, and poetry performances, along with dialogue and interactive courtyard sessions to encourage community discussions.

The campaign also included meaningful panel discussions and workshops where participants shared useful ideas and solutions. Live storytelling sessions added a creative touch, inspiring everyone to take action against gender-based violence.

These activities shows Bijoyee's strong commitment to creating a safer and fairer society for all.

The USAID Bijoyee Project’s Khulna Hub hosted an inspiring visit that showcased transformative initiatives of the project in the area. During this visit, the USAID Bijoyee Project management team witnessed Career Compass, a comprehensive program providing youth with personalized career counseling, CV development, mentorship, and entrepreneurship support. The visit also featured a workplace tour of Spark Gear, where three talented Bijoyee graduates have started their careers. Additionally, two youth-led organizations, YLO Partners of the USAID Bijoyee Project: Rong Mohol and Gabtola Mohila Somaj Kollan Somitee, performed impactful dramas addressing critical issues such as child marriage, domestic violence, and climate change during the 16 Days of Activism campaign.
Together, we are empowering young minds through innovative and creative approaches.

‘অন্তর্ভুক্তিমূলক টেকসই ভবিষ্যৎ বিনির্মাণে বিকশিত নেতৃত্বে এগিয়ে যাবে প্রতিবন্ধী জনগণ’- আন্তর্জাতিক ও জাতীয় প্রতিবন্ধী দিবস ২০২৪ এর এই প্রতিপাদ্যকে সামনে রেখে দিবসটি পালন করছে ইউএসএআইডি বিজয়ী প্রকল্প।

ইউএসএআইডি বিজয়ী প্রকল্প সম্প্রতি বাংলাদেশের ১৮টি জেলায় পরিচালিত একটি অন্তর্ভুক্তিমূলক যুব শ্রমবাজার মূল্যায়নের ফলাফল প্রকাশ করেছে। এই মূল্যায়ন কৃষি, উৎপাদন এবং স্বাস্থ্যসেবা খাতের মতো গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অর্থনৈতিক ক্ষেত্রে যুব কর্মীদের মধ্যে প্রয়োজনীয় বুদ্ধিবৃত্তিক দক্ষতার (সফট স্কিল) ঘাটতি চিহ্নিত করেছে।
মূল্যায়নের ফলাফলে দেখা গেছে যে, মতামত প্রদানকারীদের মধ্যে মাত্র ৩১ শতাংশ যুব বুদ্ধিবৃত্তিক দক্ষতা সম্পর্কে সচেতন। এই ঘাটতি পূরণে বিজয়ী প্রকল্প নির্দিষ্ট প্রশিক্ষণ ও কার্যক্রম বাস্তবায়ন করছে, যা যুবদের বুদ্ধিবৃত্তিক দক্ষতা উন্নয়নে সহায়তা করবে এবং তাদের জন্য অর্থনৈতিক সুযোগের দ্বার উন্মোচন করবে।

Youth in Focus: Bridging the Soft Skills Gap for Brighter Futures!

The USAID Bijoyee Project has just unveiled key findings from an inclusive Youth Labor Market Assessment, covering 18 districts across Bangladesh! The assessment reveals the need for essential Soft Skills in key economic sectors like agriculture, manufacturing, and healthcare.
With only 31% of youth familiar with ‘Soft Skills,’ Bijoyee is stepping up with targeted training and partnerships to close this gap and boost economic opportunities!

বাংলা একাডেমি প্রাঙ্গণে চলছে সকলের জন্য উন্মুক্ত যুব মেলা ২০২৪, আজ মেলার শেষদিন পর্যন্ত স্টল- ১ এ আছে ইউএসএআইডি বিজয়ী প্রকল্প!

মেলার পঞ্চম দিনে বুধবার, যুব ও ক্রীড়া মন্ত্রণালয়ের যুব উন্নয়ন অধিদপ্তরের সাথে মেলার মূল মঞ্চে ’দক্ষ যুবদের কর্মসংস্থান, উন্নয়নের মূল সোপান’ শীর্ষক একটি আলোচনা সভার আয়োজন করে ইউএসএআইডি বিজয়ী প্রকল্প। আলোচনায় অংশ নেন যুব ও ক্রীড়া মন্ত্রণালয়ের অতিরিক্ত সচিব (উন্নয়ন অনুবিভাগ), জনাব মোঃ উবায়দুল হক, সানেম চেয়ারম্যান ডঃ বজলুল হক খোন্দকার, যুব উন্নয়ন অধিদপ্তরের পরিচালক (দাঃ বিঃ ও ঋণ) জনাব এ কে এম মফিজুল ইসলাম, ইউএসএআইডি বাংলাদেশ-এর এডুকেশন অ্যাডভাইজর দীপ্তি দাস ও ইউএসএআইডি বিজয়ী প্রকল্পের চিফ অফ পার্টি জেরেমি ডেভিস। আলোচনা অনুষ্ঠানের সভাপতিত্ব করেন যুব উন্নয়ন অধিদপ্তরের পরিচালক (প্রশাসন) (যুগ্নসচিব) জনাব এম এ আখের।

সভায় বাংলাদেশের অর্থনৈতিক প্রবৃদ্ধিতে দক্ষ যুব সমাজের প্রয়োজনীয়তা এবং বুদ্ধিবৃত্তিক দক্ষতায় (সফট স্কিলস) যুব সমাজকে প্রশিক্ষিত করার চাহিদা নিয়ে কথা বলেন আলোচকবৃন্দ। আলোচনা অনুষ্ঠান শেষে মেলায় আগত দর্শনার্থীরা মঞ্চে 'বিজয়ীদের গল্প' নাটকটি উপভোগ করেন।

ইউএসএআইডির অর্থায়নে পরিচালিত বিজয়ী প্রকল্প আজ ঢাকায় আয়োজিত এক কর্মশালায় একটি অন্তর্ভুক্তিমূলক যুব শ্রম বাজার মূল্যায়নের ফলাফল উপস্থাপন করেছে।

মূল্যায়নে যুবদের পেশাগত জীবনে উন্নতির জন্য সবচেয়ে বেশি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বুদ্ধিবৃত্তিক দক্ষতাগুলো (Soft Skills) চিহ্নিত করা সহ বুদ্ধিবৃত্তিক দক্ষতাকে ঘিরে আরও বেশ কয়েকটি চমকপ্রদ তথ্য উঠে এসেছে।

The study identified key soft skills gaps that young people need to bridge to succeed in today's competitive job market.

We were honored to have Priyasindhu Talukder, Director of Planning, Department of Youth Development, Jeffrey Zahka, Deputy Director of the Office of Economic Growth, USAID Bangladesh, and Denise O'Toole, Director of the Education Office, USAID Bangladesh, join us. Representatives from companies like Berger Paint Bangladesh Ltd., Kansai Nerolac Paint Bangladesh Ltd., and Foodpanda were also present, highlighting their commitment to youth development.

We are delighted to welcome Lyndall Stein, Chair of the CARE International UK Board of Trustees, along with Senait Fassil, Director of Finance & Compliance, and Bavan Nathan, Trustee and Vice Chair and Chair of the Finance & Audit Committee at CIUK, to the USAID Bangladesh Bijoyee Project's Gazipur Spoke office. During their visit to the Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center (BYLC), they joined CARE Bangladesh's Deputy Country Director-PS, Executive Director of BYLC, DCoP of USAID Bijoyee Project to observe an ongoing soft skills training session and engage with the office staff. They also visited the Run for Better Bangladesh Youth Foundation a youth-led organization with whom BYLC has signed an MOU under the USAID Bijoyee Project sharing insights on their work and discussing current challenges.

Funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and Implemented by CARE Bangladesh in collaboration with Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center (BYLC) and 8 other local partners, Government of Bangladesh, and private sector actors, Bijoyee will equip over 250,000 young people with the necessary soft skills to secure employment or start their own businesses. The project is also working to empower local youth-led and youth-serving organizations across 18 districts, fostering civic engagement, climate action, and active citizenship to equip youth with soft skills and drive economic growth.
