One of the meaningful moments of the Ecollab Graduation Ceremony was the address delivered by Ecollab Ambassador Tujmila Khanam Maisha, who reflected on her journey and the motivation behind her initiative.
In her speech, she shared how a simple moment of realization- witnessing unmanaged waste around her college- led her to recognize its wider impact on schools, madrasas, and the surrounding community. Through Ecollab, she found the platform to turn this awareness into action. She highlighted the "Zero Waste Quest" workshop conducted on August 21, 2025, at Sreemangal Government Girls’ High School, where 120 students participated in interactive sessions, quizzes, and hands- on activities on waste segregation and the principles of reduce, reuse, and recycle. Concluding her address, she emphasized that meaningful change begins with small, conscious steps, which can create lasting impact over time.

Nishat Tasnim, an ambassador of Ecollab, shared her journey leading the project "AshAlert", aimed at raising awareness about air pollution in her community. She conducted her first workshop at Birganj Model Government Primary School, engaging 75 students on the health impacts of pollutants from nearby brick kilns and ways to reduce exposure.

Through interactive sessions, quizzes, and a drawing competition, students not only learned but expressed their creativity and concern for their surroundings. The workshop included tree planting, and one moment that touched her deeply was the students' promise to care for the plants and continue planting more in the future. Many even requested Nishat to return in 2026 for another session. She expressed heartfelt gratitude to Ecollab International and Mashrufa Hossain, noting that the students' enthusiasm, curiosity, and commitment made the workshop a truly inspiring and unforgettable experience.

One of the most memorable moments of the Ecollab journey was the first workshop organized by Atiqur Rahman, who had previously participated in many workshops but led one for the first time himself. With the full support of Ecollab, he conducted a session on air pollution for approximately 150 participants, structuring the program in three steps: an introduction where students learned ways to mitigate air pollution, a quiz segment with prizes for the top participants, and a tree plantation activity to encourage long-term environmental responsibility.

During the plantation, students planted several trees, inspiring them to care for their environment and improve air quality in the future. One moment that deeply touched him was seeing the students' enthusiasm and commitment, many promising to continue planting and protecting trees. Concluding his reflection, he expressed heartfelt gratitude to Ecollab for the opportunity and shared his hope to continue contributing toward environmental awareness and sustainability, reminding everyone that meaningful change begins with small, conscious steps.

The interactive memorization game was one of the most engaging parts of the Ecollab Cohort 2 Graduation Ceremony. Participants explored everyday actions related to environmental sustainability, then worked in team to recall them from memory. The winning team received exciting gifts.

More than a competition, the game highlighted how small daily choices can create meaningful environmental impact and reflected Ecollab’s focus on awareness, collaboration and youth-led action.

This game reminded us that sustainability begins with knowledge, grows through practice and becomes powerful when shared.

Highlighting leadership rooted in community, she emphasized that fellows returned to the places they grew up in as leaders- building trust, finding creative solutions, and raising their voices where change was needed.
