বালু নদীর তীরে অবস্থিত ছোট্ট একটি গ্রাম বড় বেরাইদ,যেখানে একটি স্কুল ছিল *বেরাইদ মুসলিম উচ্চ বিদ্যালয়* নামে, যা বছরের পর বছর ধরে অনেক ছাত্র-ছাত্রীর ভবিষ্যৎ গড়ে তুলেছিল।
এই স্কুলের অন্যতম মেধাবী প্রাক্তন ছাত্র, মাসুম (*কাল্পনিক নাম*) এক সময় একজন শীর্ষস্থানীয় সফটওয়্যার কোম্পানির সফল সফটওয়্যার ইঞ্জিনিয়ার হয়ে ওঠে। যদিও তার পরাশুনা এবং কাজ তাকে বাড়ি থেকে অনেক দূরে নিয়ে গিয়েছিল, তার হৃদয় সবসময় স্কুলের কাছেই ছিল, যেখান থেকে তার যাত্রা শুরু হয়েছিল।
