𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐎𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝟏𝟎-𝟏𝟔 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

In accordance with the directive of the Ministry of Education (MoE) the university will remain closed from 09 March 2026 till the EWU scheduled holiday (26 March 2026) on the occasion of Shab-E-Qadr, Jumat-Ul-Wida and Eid-Ul-Fitr and Independence & National Day. As such, the authority of East West University (EWU) has decided that all classes (both undergraduate and graduate) will be held through online platforms from 10-16 March 2026.

Accordingly, as per the existing class schedule, all classes of EWU will be conducted online from 10-16 March 2026.

The Lab classes will be managed by the respective faculty members as per their convenience. There will be no examinations during the period of online classes. Faculty members are requested to reschedule the in-person examinations accordingly.

The University Office will remain functional with minimum essential staff during the above mentioned dates.
In-person classes will resume as follows:

Classes of Graduate Programs and
any other previously scheduled classes of the Undergraduate Programs - 27 March 2026
All classes of Undergraduate Programs - 29 March 2026

The university will officially reopen on 29 March 2026.

The mode of the classes for the upcoming days (10-12 and 15-16 March 2026) will be notified tomorrow.

The University Office will remain functional tomorrow with minimum essential staff.

For everyone’s information, the department has not fixed any date for the Iftar Mahfil. The tentative dates of March 12, 2026 and later March 5, 2026 were proposed by the students themselves. The department has no objection to participating in the program on either date, as this is a student-organized event and all teachers unanimously stand beside the students in this initiative.

Therefore, if anyone among the students spreads misinformation that the department or the Chairperson wants to hold the program on a specific date, the department or the Chairperson will not take any responsibility for such claims.

If anyone creates any disorder or disruption, the department will refrain from participating in the program.

If the students wish the teachers of the department to select a date for the Iftar Mahfil, they should inform the department accordingly.

Once again, it is clearly stated that the teachers will not support any arrangement driven by the preference of only a small group of students, whether from undergraduate DSA or undergraduate Mathematics, against the broader consensus.
