Palestinian Ambassador to Bangladesh, Yousef SY Ramadan, has provided relief aid for flood victims affected by the recent severe flooding. The As-Sunnah Foundation is distributing the relief materials donated by the Palestinian Ambassador among the flood-affected people.

Sheikh Ahmadullah, Chairman of the As sunnah Foundation , shared this information on his page.

Sheikh Ahmadullah stated, "The gift packages for flood victims include flags. These gift items have been sent by Palestinian Ambassador HE Yousef Ramadan for the distressed people affected by the recent floods. This is a gesture of love from Palestine for Bangladesh."

– Day 2 August 28th 2024

Today, we made significant progress in our relief efforts:

1. Doubled Funds: We've doubled funds for immediate food purchases for those rescued and sheltered.

2. Support Mobilized funds to youth volunteers in Sitakunda, aiding those sheltered in Mirsarai.

3. & : Allocated funds to HMDB Foundation and Azimur Rokia Rahman Trust for ongoing efforts in Fatikchari and Maizbhandar.

4. Student Volunteers: Made small donations to student volunteers all the way from Bhola fundraising in to Cumilla Cantonment to be handed over to the. Bangladesh Army Fans

5. Relief Goods: 95% of relief goods have arrived and will be ready for distribution on Tuesday.

DAY 1 August 27th 2004

The flood situation remains grim in most of the worst-hit areas. While the sun has reappeared and the rains have ceased, water levels remain high, particularly in Parshuram, Feni Sadar, Sonagazi, and Chagalnaiya. I reached out to relatives in Choddoram, my Nani Bari, and thankfully, they have been mostly spared.

The Rizq Project has been in contact with local volunteers involved in rescue and food relief operations, including support for soup kitchens catering to those who have sought shelter on higher ground after being rescued from remote areas. Sadly, many remain stranded, clinging to life.

We have also mobilized funds to support ongoing relief efforts by the SAJIDA Foundation in Dhaka and Ghashful bd in Chattogram.

As we begin preparing relief packages containing food and other essentials, we look forward with anxiety and hope for better days.

May Allah bless and protect all stakeholders involved in this mammoth effort. To the rest of the nation, let’s show our support in every possible way. Ameen
