Reflecting on Bangladesh’s Economic Future: Green Business School Hosts Insightful Seminar on the National Budget FY2026–27
On 7 July 2026, Green Business School, Green University of Bangladesh, proudly organized an impactful seminar titled “Reflection on Bangladesh National Budget FY2026–27” at the University Conference Room (A-302).
The seminar served as a dynamic platform where distinguished academics, policymakers, faculty members, and students came together to critically analyze the proposed National Budget FY2026–27. Discussions focused on some of the country’s most significant economic priorities, including fiscal policy, inflation, taxation, investment, education, healthcare, agriculture, and sustainable development.
The event was honored by the gracious presence of Prof. Dr. Mohammad Shorif Uddin, Honorable Vice Chancellor of Green University of Bangladesh, as the Chief Guest.
We were equally privileged to welcome Dr. Fahmida Khatun, Executive Director of the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD), as the Guest of Honor, and Prof. Md. Golam Samdani Fakir, PhD, SFHEA, Director of the Learning and Teaching Innovation Centre (LTIC), BRAC University, as the Special Guest. Their thought-provoking insights enriched the discussion by highlighting Bangladesh’s economic outlook, policy reforms, higher education, and pathways toward sustainable national development.
The seminar was chaired by Prof. Dr. Mohammed Tareque Aziz, Dean and Director of the MBA Program, Green Business School. A standout feature of the program was the research-based presentations delivered by BBA students, who showcased impressive analytical abilities while exploring major budgetary themes such as revenue generation, the Annual Development Programme (ADP), sectoral allocations, inflation, remittance, foreign exchange reserves, and other key macroeconomic indicators.
The program concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, certificate distribution, and a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Mohammad Delwar Hussain, Chairperson, Department of Business Administration.
