Prize Giving Ceremony | Interdepartmental Poster Presentation Competition 2026

The ACI UITS Student Chapter successfully organized the Prize Giving Ceremony of the Interdepartmental Poster Presentation Competition 2026, bringing the competition to a memorable conclusion with a celebration of innovation, creativity, and interdisciplinary excellence.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of Professor Dr. Md. Abu Hashan Bhuiyan, Vice Chancellor, UITS; Professor Dr. Siraj Uddin Ahmed, Treasurer, UITS; Professor Dr. Engr. Md. Rashidul Hasan, Dean, Faculty of Science & Engineering, UITS; and Md. Borhan Uddin Rabbane, Faculty Advisor, ACI UITS Student Chapter. Faculty members from different departments, members of the ACI UITS Student Chapter, and enthusiastic participants were also present at the ceremony.

ACI UITS Student Chapter Holds Inter Department Poster Presentation Competition 2026

The ACI UITS Student Chapter, in collaboration with the Department of Civil Engineering (CE), University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS), organized an Interdepartmental Poster Presentation Competition 2026 on the UITS campus on 31 August, Monday for students of the Faculty of Science and Engineering (FSE). The event was sponsored by Prefabrix Building Solutions

The programme began at 9:00 AM with an opening ceremony at the Ratnagarbha Tahmina Rahman Multipurpose Hall, attended by university officials, faculty members, students, and members of the ACI UITS Student Chapter.

Professor Dr. Md. Abu Hashan Bhuiyan, Vice Chancellor of UITS, attended the event as the Chief Guest, while Professor Dr. Siraj Uddin Ahmed, Treasurer of UITS, was present as the Special Guest. Mohammad Kamrul Hasan, Registrar of UITS, Tarikul Islam, Proctor of UITS, and Professor Dr. Engr. Md. Rashidul Hasan, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering, were also present at the programme.

Md. Borhan Uddin Rabbane, Faculty Advisor of the ACI UITS Student Chapter also attended the ceremony.

Among the other faculty members present were Abedul Hadi, Head of Department of EEE, Rafat Ara, acting Head of Department of IT, Md. Hasan Imam, Md. Mohiuddin Ahmed, Al-Imtiaz, Dr. Syed Arif Islam, Saurav Howlader, and Sangita Debnath Puja.

Following the opening ceremony, the competition shifted to the PHP Open Gallery, where participants presented their research, academic projects, and innovative ideas through poster presentations.

A total of 24 teams from the Departments of Civil Engineering (CE), Pharmacy, Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Information Technology (IT), and Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) took part in the competition.

The posters were evaluated by a panel of eight judges representing five different departments. The evaluation process continued until 1:00 PM, with the judges assessing the participating teams according to the competition criteria.

The competition provided students with an opportunity to showcase their research, creativity, and innovative ideas while encouraging interdisciplinary knowledge sharing and collaboration among the departments of UITS.
