We are delighted to announce the successful completion of Phase 1, Day 1 of “Echoes of The Earth: The Virtual Presentation Fair 2026.”
On 16 May 2026, the first presentation session of Phase 1, Day 1 was successfully conducted. The session was presented by Sutapa Sarker from the 16th Batch (Session: 2021–22). The topic of the presentation was “Scope of Research for the Budding Soil Scientists of Bangladesh.” The session was presided over by Mahmudul Hasan Shumon, Co-Founder of the Soil Science Alumni Association.
The programme commenced with an opening speech delivered by the session President, Mahmudul Hasan Shumon. Following the introductory remarks, the presentation floor was handed over to Sutapa Sarker, who delivered an informative, clear, and engaging presentation on the assigned topic. After the presentation, a question-and-answer session was conducted, where participants actively interacted and shared their thoughts and queries regarding the topic.

• Definition and aims of research
• Rules and guidelines to be maintained during research activities
• Purpose and significance of research
• Proper methods and procedures for conducting research
• Importance of research in the field of Soil Science
• Scope and emerging areas of research in Soil Science, along with institutions supporting research activities in this field
• Essential research skills, research integrity, and ethics in research work
• Self-learning resources and important research terms shared with participants
Overall, the session was highly informative and beneficial for the participants, especially for students interested in research and Soil Science.
