👏👏✨ Shaping Wise, Safe, and Confident Digital Citizens!

On 14 October 2026, the Bauniabadh Model High School campus was buzzing with energy as it hosted the 3rd Awareness Campaign under the "Somotar Alo – Light of Equality" project. This vital initiative is funded by Terre des Hommes Italia in Bangladesh and implemented by the ARBAN.
The campaign was designed to move away from traditional lectures, instead engaging adolescent students through a mix of interactive, vocal, and high-visibility activities:
• 🪧 Vibrant Awareness Rally: Marching together to visibly promote the message of safe and responsible internet usage across the school environment.
• 🎙️ Instant Speech Competition: Encouraging students to critically think and speak out about the opportunities and challenges of the digital age.
• 💬 Interactive Awareness Session: Teaching students how to navigate digital platforms responsibly, safely, and confidently.

Building a Lasting Impact:🙌🙌
A key priority of this project is ensuring the learning doesn't stop when the campaign ends. By focusing heavily on strengthening the capacity of school teachers, the initiative empowers educators to lead periodic digital literacy sessions moving forward, making safety a permanent part of the school curriculum.
Digital literacy is far more than just knowing how to operate a device—it is about having the wisdom to use technology safely, responsibly, and ethically.

Today, 6 October 2026, the digital literacy wave arrived at বাউনিয়াবাদ আদর্শ উচ্চ বিদ্যালয় (Bauniabadh Adarsha Uccho Biddaloy) for the project's 2nd Awareness Campaign! Under the "Somotar Alo – Light of Equality" initiative, a dynamic and interactive session was successfully conducted to equip adolescent students with essential online skills.
This impactful campaign is funded by Terre des Hommes Italia in Bangladesh and brought to life by the ARBAN Education & Women Empowerment Programme.
Rather than just traditional lecturing, the day was packed with high-energy, engaging activities that made digital safety both fun and memorable:
• 📢 Interactive Awareness Sessions: Navigating the internet confidently while understanding its vast opportunities.
• 🎙️ Instant Speech Competitions: Giving students a platform to voice their thoughts on the digital age.
• 🎭 Educational Drama Performances: Visually breaking down the hidden risks and safety measures of the online world.

Sustainability at its Core:
The campaign goes beyond a one-day event. A crucial element of this second phase involves training and strengthening the capacity of school teachers. By empowering educators, Baunibadh Adorsho Uccho Biddaloy will be able to host regular digital literacy sessions, ensuring students receive continuous guidance on safe internet practices.

👍👍👍Stronger Together: Parents Driving Change in Education🙌🙌🙌

On July 16, 2026, ARBAN’s C Block Center successfully hosted six Parents’ Meetings, followed by two more gatherings on July 30, 2026 at ARBAN’s A Block in Green City Grammar School. These events marked the 3rd Quarterly Parents’ Meeting under the Somotar Alo – Light of Equality through Sponsorship project, supported by Terre des Hommes Italia in Bangladesh.

Each meeting was more than just a discussion—it was a movement of unity. Parents of sponsored students, teachers, and project staff came together to share experiences, exchange ideas, and strengthen the bond between home and school. The collective energy highlighted a powerful truth: when families and educators walk side by side, children’s futures shine brighter.

🙌🙌 Final Session: Youth Reflections on Violence Against Women 👏👏

Today, 28 July 2026, at ARBAN C Block School, the 8th and concluding session of the Gender Education initiative under Somotar Alo – Light of Equality through Sponsorship, supported by Terre des Hommes Italia in Bangladesh, was successfully conducted with a strong focus on Violence (সহিংসতা).

The session, titled “Violence Against Women: Expectations from Different Angles—Girls to Boys and Boys to Girls,” encouraged students to reflect on how perspectives across genders shape understanding of violence. 👍👍

Through open dialogue, empathy, and collective reflection, adolescents explored how respect and awareness can dismantle harmful practices and challenge silence. 👏👏

🙏 As the program concluded, students were inspired to carry forward the lessons of gender equality, respect, and child rights, becoming true agents of change in their communities. ❤️❤️❤️
