We are overjoyed to announce that our dedicated member Rimi has achieved the position of First Runner-Up in Dhaka Division in the NASA Space Apps Challenge 2025 as the Team Lead of “Astro-4”! 🚀💫

Known for her sincerity, dedication, and unwavering commitment to our club, Rimi has always been one of our most valued assets. 💖 Her journey from being a devoted club member to representing the CSE Department and BASIS Students’ Forum on an international platform truly inspires us all. 🌍✨

Her remarkable achievement, along with the success of Team Astro-4, reflects the spirit of innovation, teamwork, and determination that defines our community. 🚀 A CSE Department Talent Taking Flight ✨

Back in April 2025, during our Drone Seminar organized by BASIS Students’ Forum – IUBAT Chapter we met a young talent — Sakibul Hasan Dipto inspired by the seminar led by Zubayer Al Billal Khan, Dipto built his own drone from scratch! 🛠️

Recognizing his potential, we featured him on our page and helped him expand his network within the campus. Today, we’re proud to see him as a Trainer at IUBAT IT Society’s Robotics Wing, giving hands-on training to robotics enthusiasts from the CSE Department. 🤖💡

💡 His Innovation?
He designed and built a cost-effective flight controller himself!

🔹 First version: Stable flight only
🔹 Now: Stable flight ✅ | Altitude hold ✅ | Position hold ✅ | Autonomous flight ✅ | INAV & Betaflight compatible ✅ | Can be configured for both fixed wings and multi rotors🚁

🏆 He recently participated in some competitions such as:
• Automech 2025 – IUT
• Robotronics Fest 2025 – DU

🛠️ His Current Work: Designing custom PCB for his flight controller

🎯 Future Goals:
• Ultra-budget programmable drone (within ৳1200)
• Cost-effective flight controllers


We wish Dipto all the best as he continues to fly higher and make his dreams a reality. 🌟
Moments like this remind us why we organize such events in the CSE Department — to discover talents, nurture them, and watch them inspire others. 💙

As part of this session’s task, you are required to build a Python script that automates file backup. This exercise is designed to strengthen your practical skills in automation and file management. 💻

🔧 Your script must include:
• 📁 Copying files from a source to a backup directory
• 🕒 Creating timestamped backup folders
• ⚠️ Basic error handling
• 🎯 Option to back up specific file types

📤 Submission Instructions:

✨ Python Power Up – Successfully Completed!✨

Today, we proudly hosted our Python Power Up session organized by BASIS Students’ Forum – IUBAT Chapter. It was an interactive and well-organized workshop where participants showed great enthusiasm and actively engaged throughout the session.🚀

A huge thanks to our amazing instructor Arif Anzum Hamim (CEO, Everstudi & Songbad.xyz) for delivering such an excellent session, and to our dedicated volunteers whose hard work made this event a success. We’re also grateful to the faculties who visited and shared their valuable feedback.💙

We are truly delighted with the success of this beginner-level session and are excited to announce that an intermediate Python session is on the way soon. 🐍
