“The Association is committed to promoting the safe, effective, and appropriate use of medical device technologies by implementing a comprehensive healthcare technology management cycle, thereby strengthening patient safety and healthcare quality.” In the recent years, Healthcare Delivery System (HCDS) has increasingly become healthcare technology driven due to rapid development of medical device
s technologies. But without standard management of healthcare technology cycle safe and effective use of medical devices technologist are not possible. On the divergent, it has examined that clinical engineering professional, clinical engineering department and healthcare engineering directorate are the best human resources, departments and regulatory authority receptively to standardize the healthcare technology management cycle in HCD. Despite the further development of CE, CED & HCED are yet needed to desire by develop world and development countries, HCDS of under development countries like Bangladesh is unknown with CE, CED & HCED for enhancing the patient care. As a result, quality of the patient care of Bangladesh has been slowing down and it is continually. in this situation it is very much impotent to address the problem and possible solution is very much required . From a comprehensible literature review result, it has found that, a community like as Clinical Engineering Association has taken initiative to solved the problem through develop awareness of the healthcare stakeholders. Like other countries Clinical Engineering Association-Bangladesh is going to be taken initiative to make awareness among healthcare policymakers, healthcare providers, medical equipment supplier, equipment operators/users and healthcare engineers & technologist etc. CEAB firmly believe that we do work together with healthcare team and an excellent outcome is possible to obtain. The impact of CEAB will play a role to enhance the HCDS in our country which is presently found as questionable. There are many objectives of this association but here some main objectives are listed below:
(1) To develop awareness of our healthcare stakeholder such as from top level policy-makers to end-users about the necessity of clinical engineers and healthcare delivery system through appropriate implementation of medical devices for the patient care
(ii) To produce accredited CE, CET,& BMET through developing suitable courses
(iii) To motivate the public and private hospitals to introduce CED/ BMED to keep safe functional condition of medical devices for 24 hour services to the patients. (iv) To establish a Directorate General of Healthcare Engineering Services under the Healthcare Regulatory Authority (MOH&FW) like other four doctorates for balancing the entire healthcare delivery system
(It can be enhance by your opinion)
