On October 24, 2024, a courtesy call took place between the Centre for Partnership Initiative (CPI) and His Excellency Mr. Mansour Chavoshi, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Bangladesh. The meeting was led by Dr. Rakib Al Hasan, Executive Director of CPI, along with a three-member delegation.

The discussions highlighted various areas of mutual interest, including cultural exchanges, youth exchange programs and other collaborative initiatives aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Iran. Both parties expressed enthusiasm about future engagements and shared insights on fostering closer cultural ties and opportunities for youth leadership exchanges.

As a token of appreciation and respect, the CPI delegation, in collaboration with Moon Calligraphy, presented His Excellency Mr. Mansour Chavoshi with a framed Arabic calligraphy artwork. An official courtesy call was held today between Dr. Rakib Al Hasan, Executive Director of the Centre for Partnership Initiative, and H. E. Mr. Syed Ahmed Maroof, the High Commissioner of Pakistan to Bangladesh.

During the meeting, it was discussed that Pakistan has already implemented an on-arrival visa policy for Bangladeshi citizens. Furthermore, direct flights from Dhaka to three major Pakistani cities—Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore—are expected to commence soon. In addition, 30 international-standard hospitals in Pakistan will offer medical tourism services.

Both parties engaged in fruitful discussions on enhancing trade relations, cultural exchanges, and youth exchange programs between Bangladesh and Pakistan. They explored ways to strengthen cultural ties and cooperation in the future. Both sides expressed optimism about the potential for mutual growth and collaboration between the two countries.
