Ongkuron is a nonprofit, youth led organization for community service. It was founded by the students of RAJUK Uttara Model College in August 2011. We want to sow the sapling of hope in the life of the less privileged people around us and we believe that one small step of everyone towards helping these people can bring about a big change in their life. t in the life of individuals. It is a place of young people to exercise their duties as an active citizen. We believe in a brighter tomorrow and we are the ones who will bring this change! The fields we are currently working on:
: To empower people of less privileged families Ongkuron is working in projects which includes buying a rickshaw/sewing machine or setting up small stalls for selected families so that secured living and education for their children can be ensured. This project is for ensuring sustainable development in few lives.
# Education: Donating books and Building libraries in schools of rural areas in Bangladesh. To organize sessions to teach those students about higher education, career building, technology, having a healthy lifestyle and many more!
: To help solve the water crisis of hundreds of people living in congested slums in the city , Ongkuron is working on a project which includes an eco-friendly way of harvesting water and meet basic water requirements.
