Adolescent Girls Club (AGC) at Mukjoddha High School, Porahati Union and Moslemuddin High School, Kalicharanpur Union, Jhenaidah Sadar, under the GirlPower Project!

This club marks the beginning of a powerful journey — a safe space where adolescent girls can come together to learn, lead, and raise their voices against child marriage and social barriers. Through this platform, our girls will build knowledge, confidence, and leadership skills to become changemakers in their own communities.

At SAVE, we believe that when girls are empowered with the right knowledge and support, they can transform not just their own lives — but their entire community.

🌸 A New Beginning for Adolescent Health & Awareness! 🌸

SAVE is proud to announce the formation of our 1st SRHR Information Corner (SIC), established on 23 July 2026 at Porakatla Dipayan School, Burigoalini Union, Shyamnagar, Satkhira — marking the start of an exciting journey toward better SRHR knowledge for adolescent girls!

This SIC brings together 20 dedicated adolescent members, guided by a 5-member Executive Committee (President, Vice-President, Treasurer, General Secretary, and Executive Member) along with 15 General Members — all committed to spreading reliable information on Sexual and Reproductive Health & Rights (SRHR) within their community.

This is the first of 12 SICs to be established across 6 Unions in 2 Upazilas of Satkhira district, part of our broader initiative to reach 360 adolescent members with accurate, confidential, and life-saving SRHR knowledge — including menstrual hygiene management, counselling support, and referral services.

Together, we're building safer, more informed communities — one Information Corner at a time!

Service and Vision for Edify (SAVE) with the support of Bandhab, Denmark and CISU, successfully organized an Upazila Level awareness Raising workshop under the project “Empowering Climate-Resilient Adolescent Girls through SRHR Knowledge, Leadership, and Social Initiatives in Satkhira District” at the Shyamnagar Upazila Conference Hall.

The workshop was chaired by Ms. Ayasha Siddika, Executive Director of SAVE, and brought together representatives from the Upazila Administration, government departments, educational institutions, media, local representatives, students, and other key stakeholders.

The session highlighted the importance of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM), access to safe water and primary healthcare, and leadership development for adolescent girls, particularly in the context of climate change. Participants also discussed the project's objectives, implementation strategies, and key activities.

At SAVE, we believe that collaborative efforts between government institutions, communities, and development partners are essential to building a safe, healthy, and climate-resilient future for adolescent girls.

Strengthening Community Partnerships to Prevent Child Marriage 🤝

As part of the GirlPower Project, our team continues to engage with teachers and civil society members to strengthen community partnerships and reinforce local efforts to prevent child marriage. These networking and stakeholder engagement sessions help build a shared understanding of the challenges faced by adolescent girls and the vital role that every stakeholder plays in protecting their rights.

Through Adolescent Girls Clubs(AGCs), the GirlPower Project empowers girls with knowledge, life skills, leadership opportunities, and awareness of their rights, enabling them to make informed choices about their future. Strong collaboration with teachers and civil society members ensures that girls receive the guidance, protection, and support they need to remain in school and delay marriage.

Together, we are fostering communities where every girl can grow up safe, confident, and empowered to reach her full potential.
