In rural and underprivileged communities only 10% use improved menstrual products, while most of them use cloths, rugs, cotton, or tissues. As a result, Girls and women have fewer choices in terms of menstrual health management & menstrual product usage, difficulties in traveling, drop out from school, Limited working ability & tendency of abstaining from work, limits ability to involve in income-
generating work, Drainage blockage for inappropriate disposal management. OUR TARGET AUDIENCE:
* Adolescence girls (Age 12-20 years old)
* Grass root level community, underprivileged women (Bihari, Sweeper, Street
children, Disable, rural adolescence girls)
* Lower-income those who have fixed mindset and traditional practices on menstrual
health management. OUR FOCUS AREA:
* Adolescence reproductive health & gender equality
* Mental health & mood swing concept during menstruation
* Create awareness & consultation on menstrual health
* Breaking social & cultural taboos around menstruation
* Spread out knowledge on nutrition, biological factors & psychophysical changes
* Mitigate school drop out, child marriage, early pregnancy & social stigma
* Distribute low-cost eco-friendly menstrual kits & reusable pads
* Acknowledge personal hygiene management
OUR ACTIVATION:
* Addressing barrier in school & community through sharing information & health menstrual practices
* Recruit volunteers & trainers for one-month-long adolescence training sessions.
* Train up adolescence to make reusable pads that can generate revenue & ensure empowerment
* Facilitate parents & peers of underprivileged adolescence by providing consultation on reproductive health & sexual access.
* Supply menstrual kits & hygiene management products among adolescent, underserved girls.
* Empower adolescence through training & capacity building
* Gender equality, reproductive health, menstrual health & hygiene management curriculum making, reporting, documentation for training sessions
* Break down social & cultural taboos around menstruation in Bangladesh by upholding interactive online & offline social campaign
