Nirvik Network is an adolescent network, made and operated by adolescent boys and girls of secondary schools of Bangladesh. It aims to make awareness among adolescent girls and boys of the country about malnutrition, personal hygiene, menstrual hygiene, early marriage, and addiction through the help of digital platforms and media. Nirvik Network has around 5000 (more than 3000) active clubs, named
Nirvik Koishor Clubs in secondary schools all over Bangladesh. Each union of Bangladesh has at least one Nirvik Koishor Club. Each club consists of secondary school students of both boys and girls from class 6 to class 12 (aged between 11 to 19). A total of 30 adolescent boys and girls (50 % male and 50% female) make a Nirvik Koishor Club led by one adolescent girl and one boy leader among them. They work together and contribute for the health, financial and societal benefit of their community members. Nirvik TV (nirviktv.com), Bangladesh’s first adolescent based online tv, operates under this network. Through its YouTube platform (NIRVIK TV), it is telecasting adolescent based entertainment and educational shows.
