মাসে ১২,০০০ টাকা আয় করা নাসিমের জন্য সংসার চালানোই ছিল কঠিন, তার ওপর ছেলের হরমোন চিকিৎসার জন্য লাগে মাসে ১০,০০০ টাকা। চিকিৎসা আর খাবারের খরচ মেলাতে হিমশিম খাচ্ছিলেন এই বাবা। 💔

নাসিমের জীবনের এই সংগ্রামকে সহজ করতে হোপল্যাম্প (HopeLamp) তাকে একটি গাভী উপহার দিয়েছে। এখন দুধ বিক্রির আয়ে ছেলের চিকিৎসা আর পরিবারের অন্নসংস্থান হবে আরও সহজ। 🌾

ঢাকার ব্যস্ত আর জনাকীর্ণ রাস্তায় দুটি ছায়া নিভৃতে বসে থাকে, যা আমাদের চোখের আড়ালে হারিয়ে যায়। তারা কেবল দারিদ্র্যের প্রতিচ্ছবি নন; তারা এমন দুই মা যারা তাদের ভেঙে পড়া পৃথিবীর সমস্ত বোঝা নিজের কাঁধে বয়ে বেড়াচ্ছেন।

হোপল্যাম্প (Hopelamp) তাদের পাশে গিয়ে দাঁড়িয়েছিল। আমরা শুধু তাদের হাতে খাবারের প্যাকেট তুলে দিইনি; বরং আমরা চেষ্টা করেছি সেই গল্পগুলো শোনার, যা সচরাচর এই শহরের যান্ত্রিক কোলাহলে হারিয়ে যায়।

১৬ বছর ঘাম ঝরিয়েও
নিজের বলতে ছিল না কিছুই
প্রতিদিন একটু একটু করে নিঃশেষ হচ্ছিল স্বপ্ন পূরণের অঙ্গীকার ।
আজ একটা রিকশা পেয়েছে
কিন্তু হারানো দিনগুলোর হিসাব
কেউ কি কখনো মেটাতে পারে?
তারপরও স্বপ্ন পূরণের লক্ষ্যে রিকশা এখন ভরসা।

হোপল্যাম্পের “সাসটেইনেবিলিটি স্টেপস” প্রকল্পের মাধ্যমে, আমরা মিরাজুলকে ৪০,০০০ টাকা সহায়তা করেছি তার নিজস্ব রিকশা কেনার জন্য।
আর কোনো দৈনিক ভাড়া নয়।
আর আয়ের অর্ধেক হারানোর কষ্ট নয়।

For 16 years, Mirazul Islam has worked tirelessly as a rickshaw puller—renting a rickshaw every day and losing a huge portion of his hard-earned income, sometimes nearly half, just to keep working. Despite his relentless effort, providing daily meals for his family of four was often a struggle.
Through Hopelamp’s “Sustainability Steps” project, we were able to support Mirazul with 40,000 taka to purchase his own rickshaw.
No more daily rent. No more losing half his income. Just a fair chance to earn, save, and move his family toward stability.
This is what Sustainability Steps is about—not charity for a day, but dignity for a lifetime.

একজন মায়ের লড়াই ও আমাদের অঙ্গীকার

৫ই আগস্টের সেই দিনটি বিথি খাতুনের জীবন থেকে সব কেড়ে নিয়েছিল। স্বামী হারিয়ে দুই মেয়েকে নিয়ে যখন তিনি দিশেহারা, তখন হোপল্যাম্প তার পাশে দাঁড়ায়। তাকে একটি ব্যবসায়িক ভ্যান উপহার দিয়ে আমরা চেষ্টা করেছি তার মাথা উঁচু করে বাঁচার স্বপ্ন ফিরিয়ে দিতে।

আজ দুই বছর পরও বিথি আমাদের পরিবারের অংশ। কিন্তু বিথির মতো এমন আরও অনেক পরিবার আজও সাহায্যের অপেক্ষায়। জুলাইয়ের বীরদের পরিবারগুলো যেন কখনো নিজেদের একা না ভাবে, সেই দায়িত্ব আমাদের সবার।

দূরবর্তী দ্বীপ মনপুরা, ভোলা—যেখানে যাতায়াত কঠিন, আর কষ্টগুলো অনেক সময় অদেখাই থেকে যায়। সেখানে কিছু অসুস্থ মানুষে
র পাশে দাঁড়িয়েছে HopeLamp।
খাদ্য প্যাকেজ ও আর্থিক সহায়তার মাধ্যমে আমরা তাদের কষ্টের কিছুটা হলেও লাঘব করার চেষ্টা করেছি—

যাতে তাদের আর ওষুধ আর খাবারের মধ্যে বেছে নিতে না হয়।

তবুও প্রতিদিন তিনি প্যাডেল রিকশা চালান… শুধু যাত্রী নয়, নিজের পরিবারের দায়িত্বও টেনে নিয়ে চলেন।
