আজ ৭ জুন, বাংলা সংগীতাঙ্গনের এক উজ্জ্বল নক্ষত্র, কিংবদন্তি সঙ্গীতশিল্পী, সুরকার ও সংগীত পরিচালক লাকী আখান্দ-এর জন্মবার্ষিকী।
বাংলা সংগীতের ইতিহাসে লাকী আখান্দ এমন এক নাম, যার সুর, কণ্ঠ ও সৃষ্টিশীলতা প্রজন্মের পর প্রজন্ম ধরে শ্রোতাদের হৃদয়ে গভীরভাবে স্থান করে নিয়েছে। তাঁর সৃষ্ট অসংখ্য কালজয়ী গান মানুষের আবেগ, ভালোবাসা, স্মৃতি ও জীবনের নানা অনুভূতিকে অনন্য সৌন্দর্যে তুলে ধরেছে। সংগীতের প্রতি তাঁর নিষ্ঠা, সৃজনশীলতা এবং অসামান্য অবদান বাংলা সংস্কৃতির ভাণ্ডারকে করেছে আরও সমৃদ্ধ ও গৌরবান্বিত।

বিদ্রোহ, প্রেম, সাম্য ও মানবতার অগ্নিকণ্ঠ কবি — আমাদের জাতীয় কবি কাজী নজরুল ইসলাম।
আজ তাঁর জন্মজয়ন্তীতে জানাই গভীর শ্রদ্ধা, ভালোবাসা ও কৃতজ্ঞতা।
তাঁর কবিতা ও গান শুধু সাহিত্য নয়, অন্যায়ের বিরুদ্ধে রুখে দাঁড়ানোর সাহস, স্বাধীনতার আহ্বান এবং মানবতার এক অনন্য বার্তা। ধর্ম-বর্ণ ভেদাভেদ ভুলে তিনি শিখিয়েছেন সাম্যের কথা, ভালোবাসার কথা এবং সত্যের পথে অটল থাকার শিক্ষা।
“আমি চির-বিদ্রোহী বীর” — এই উচ্চারণ আজও আমাদের হৃদয়ে জাগিয়ে তোলে সাহস ও প্রেরণা।

আজ ৭ই মে, বিশ্বকবি রবীন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুরের জন্মদিন! তিনি শুধু একজন কবি নন, বরং বাংলা সাহিত্যের ও সংস্কৃতির এক উজ্জ্বল দিগন্ত। রবীন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুরের সৃষ্টিজগৎ ছিল শব্দ, সুর, আর দর্শনের এক অনন্য মেলবন্ধন। তাঁর লেখা কবিতা-গানগুলো যেন জীবনেরই প্রতিধ্বনি—প্রকৃতি, প্রেম, দেশপ্রেম, ঈশ্বরচিন্তা... প্রতিটি রচনায় তিনি ফুটিয়ে তুলেছেন মানুষের অন্তরের গভীরতম অনুভূতি আর বোধ। তিনি সাহিত্যকে শুধু বিনোদনের উপকরণ ভাবেননি, দেখেছেন আত্মার মুক্তির উপায় হিসেবে। তাঁর সৃষ্টি শুধু গান-কবিতা নয়, বরং মানুষের চেতনার জাগরণ। শান্তিনিকেতন থেকে গীতাঞ্জলি—তাঁর প্রতিটি কাজ মানুষকে ভাবতে শিখিয়েছে। রবীন্দ্রনাথের সাহিত্য আজও আমাদের পথ দেখায়। তিনি আমাদের শিখিয়েছেন, শিল্প মানে শুধু ছন্দ আর অলংকার নয়, শিল্প মানে মানুষের যন্ত্রণাকে ভাষা দেওয়া, স্বপ্নকে ডানা মেলানো।

বুদ্ধ পূর্ণিমা—শান্তি, সহমর্মিতা ও জ্ঞানালোকের এক পবিত্র ও মহিমান্বিত দিন
এই দিনে পৃথিবীতে আগমন করেছিলেন গৌতম বুদ্ধ, যিনি তাঁর জীবন, ত্যাগ ও শিক্ষার মাধ্যমে মানবজাতিকে দেখিয়েছেন সত্য, ন্যায় ও শান্তির পথ। তাঁর বাণী আমাদের শেখায়—লোভ, হিংসা ও অজ্ঞতা থেকে মুক্ত হয়ে ভালোবাসা, সহানুভূতি ও সহনশীলতার মাধ্যমে এক সুন্দর পৃথিবী গড়ে তুলতে।
আজকের এই শুভক্ষণে আসুন আমরা সবাই নিজের অন্তরের অন্ধকার দূর করে আলোর পথে চলার অঙ্গীকার করি। সকল প্রাণীর প্রতি মমতা, মানবতার প্রতি শ্রদ্ধা এবং সত্যের প্রতি অবিচল থাকার প্রতিশ্রুতি হোক আমাদের জীবনের পথনির্দেশ।

Today, we honour the hands that built our world — the workers, the dreamers, the tireless contributors whose dedication shapes every institution, every community, and every tomorrow. Labour is not merely an act of effort; it is the very foundation upon which civilizations rise, cultures flourish, and futures are written.
On this Labour Day, we take a moment to reflect on the immeasurable value of every contribution — seen and unseen. The farmer who nurtures the earth, the teacher who shapes young minds, the builder who raises our skylines, the healthcare worker who stands at the frontline , each one a pillar of the society we are proud to be part of.
We believe that culture itself is born from labour , from the passion of those who dedicate their time, skill, and heart to something greater than themselves. It is that same spirit that drives our community forward, day after day.
Today, we do not simply mark a holiday. We recognise humanity’s greatest strength the will to work, to build, and to uplift one another.

Notre Dame Cultural Club কর্তৃক আয়োজিত “10th National Cultural Jubilation”-এর তৃতীয় ও শেষ দিনটি সফলভাবে সম্পন্ন হয়েছে।
দিনব্যাপী নানা সেগমেন্টে অংশগ্রহণকারীদের দারুণ পারফরম্যান্স এবং প্রাণবন্ত উপস্থিতি পুরো আয়োজনকে করে তুলেছিল আরও জমজমাট ও উপভোগ্য।
সেগমেন্টগুলো ছিল—নজরুলসংগীত, শাস্ত্রীয় সংগীত, মুভি ও সিরিজ কুইজ, অ্যানিমে কুইজ, কালচারাল কসপ্লে, কালচারাল ওসিডি এবং ব্যান্ড শো। প্রতিটি পরিবেশনাই ছিল নিজস্ব বৈশিষ্ট্যে অনন্য, মুগ্ধকর এবং দর্শকদের হৃদয় ছুঁয়ে যাওয়ার মতো।
দিনের অন্যতম আকর্ষণ ছিল “Battle of the Band”—যেখানে প্রতিযোগীরা তাদের অসাধারণ রিদম, সাউন্ড কন্ট্রোল এবং সৃজনশীলতা দিয়ে মঞ্চ মাতিয়ে তোলে। প্রতিটি পারফরম্যান্স দর্শকদের জন্য এনে দেয় এক ভিন্নমাত্রার অভিজ্ঞতা।
দিনের শেষে সাংস্কৃতিক পরিবেশনার মধ্য দিয়ে সমাপনী অনুষ্ঠান অনুষ্ঠিত হয় এবং পুরস্কার বিতরণের মাধ্যমে দিনটির সফলভাবে পরিসমাপ্তি ঘটে।
আনন্দের সঙ্গে জানানো যাচ্ছে যে, Willes Cultural Club থেকে কবিতা আবৃত্তিতে জারিন শুভা আফরা ২য় স্থান এবং শুদ্ধ পাঠে ২য় স্থান অর্জন করেছেন। এছাড়াও অ্যানিমে কুইজে Snowball Group ২য় স্থান অধিকার করেছে। তাদের সবাইকে জানাই আন্তরিক অভিনন্দন ও শুভেচ্ছা।
Willes Cultural Club-এর পক্ষ থেকে সকল অংশগ্রহণকারীকে জানাই আন্তরিক ধন্যবাদ। তোমাদের প্রাণবন্ত অংশগ্রহণই এই আয়োজনকে করেছে আরও সুন্দর, প্রাণবন্ত এবং স্মরণীয়।
এভাবেই সফলভাবে শেষ হলো “10th National Cultural Jubilation”-এর তৃতীয় দিন।

Notre Dame Cultural Club কর্তৃক আয়োজিত “10th National Cultural Jubilation”-এর দ্বিতীয় দিনটি আজ সফলভাবে সম্পন্ন হয়েছে।
দিনব্যাপী নানা সেগমেন্টে অংশগ্রহণকারীদের দারুণ পারফরম্যান্স এবং প্রাণবন্ত উপস্থিতি পুরো আয়োজনকে করে তুলেছে আরও জমজমাট ও উপভোগ্য।
আজকের সেগমেন্টগুলো ছিল—কণ্ঠসঙ্গীত, একক নৃত্য, দলীয় নৃত্য, হাতের লেখা, চিঠি লেখা এবং শুদ্ধপাঠ। প্রতিটি পরিবেশনাই ছিল নিজস্ব বৈশিষ্ট্যে অনন্য ও মুগ্ধকর।
দিনের শেষভাগে বিশেষ আকর্ষণ হিসেবে ছিল বহুল প্রতীক্ষিত বিটবক্স ব্রল—যেখানে প্রতিযোগীরা তাদের অসাধারণ রিদম, সাউন্ড কন্ট্রোল এবং সৃজনশীলতা দিয়ে মঞ্চ মাতিয়ে তোলে। প্রতিটি পারফরম্যান্স দর্শকদের জন্য এনে দেয় এক ভিন্নমাত্রার অভিজ্ঞতা।
Willes Cultural Club-এর পক্ষ থেকে আজকের সকল অংশগ্রহণকারীকে জানাই আন্তরিক ধন্যবাদ ও শুভেচ্ছা। তোমাদের প্রাণবন্ত অংশগ্রহণই এই আয়োজনকে করে তুলছে আরও সুন্দর, প্রাণবন্ত এবং স্মরণীয়।
