Today marks the Foundation Day of BNCC. 🇧🇩✨
On 23 March 1979, the Bangladesh National Cadet Corps (BNCC) was officially formed as the second line of defense of the country. However, the journey of establishing BNCC was not easy or smooth. Its roots trace back to 1921. Later, through different stages in 1947 and after achieving true independence through the Great Liberation War of 1971, BNCC finally took its present form.
On this day in 1979, by a government order of the then President, UOTC (University Officers Training Corps), BCC (Bangladesh Cadet Corps), and JCC (Junior Cadet Corps) were unified and officially renamed as the Bangladesh National Cadet Corps (BNCC).
During the Liberation War of 1971, BNCC cadets made remarkable contributions to the struggle for independence. Among the martyrs was Cadet Sergeant Rumi, the son of Shaheed Mother Jahanara Imam, along with many other brave cadets who sacrificed their lives for the country. On this Foundation Day of BNCC, we remember them with deep respect and gratitude. 🕊️
Today, 23 March, on the Foundation Day of BNCC, we extend our heartfelt greetings and congratulations to everyone associated with BNCC. 🎉
Holding the motto “Knowledge & Discipline” in our hearts, the cadets of the Bangladesh National Cadet Corps always remain ready to serve the motherland with dedication, discipline, and a spirit of volunteerism. 🇧🇩
Happy BNCC DAY ! 💫
