The Scholastica Environmental Club has successfully observed a Sustainable Poster Making Competition on the relevant theme of “Water Pollution” this year, held from the 1st up until the 8th of November. Participants were asked to get creative with the elements they used in the posters – but with a twist. They were encouraged to use mainly recyclable materials that they found lying around the house, or would collect – and arrange a presentation with their views on water pollution. The objective of this was to create awareness regarding water pollution in the context of a densely riverine country – Bangladesh – while actively learning what it means to implement one of the main Rs – Recycling.

The winners were announced on the day of the Closing Ceremony, on the 11th of November, Thursday from 6pm to 7pm. In the ceremony, our club’s president, Aysha Hossain alongside honourable Faculty Advisors shared special words of encouragement and appreciation towards our members and the participants for making this poster competition fruitful and to make the colours representing our club greener than ever. Thank you and congratulations to all those who participated !

Scholastica Environmental Club will be hosting its very own unique Poster Making Competition!

We here at the Environmental Club believe that it is crucial for our generation to start taking the right steps to environmental conservation before it is too late and hence, we have decided to hold this competition in order to spread awareness regarding one of the worst cases of environmental pollution: water pollution.

This time, we will be implementing a new and interesting method of making posters that has never been done before in our school! The Poster Making Competition is scheduled to be held from

1st to 11th November, 2021.

for Participation:
The participants will be divided into 2 different categories:
· Junior Category: Classes V-VIII
· Senior Category: Classes IX-XII

Participants will have to register with the link provided below and submit a poster and a small description of said poster and through another link for a submission form which will be provided to you via the confirmation email.

The theme of this competition is: “Water Pollution”

Registration will begin from the 24th of October, 2021 and the deadline for registering is 30th October, 2021. Registration Link:

There will be 3 winners from each category who will be awarded with crests and certificates and all participants will be receiving a certificate of participation.

Winners will be announced during the closing ceremony (11th November, 2021) following the deadline for poster submission: 8th November, 2021.

After a week long campaign on Zero Waste from 19th-25th September, 2021, Environmental Club has been able to successfully upload 14 articles on their social media page, with fruitful sessions and amazing teamwork among our club members!!
Along with the articles, they also maintained a journal on what wastes were produced and how they tried to reduce it. It has been an incredible journey for the members to realise the importance of Zero Waste and apply it to their daily lifestyle. It’s the small steps that matter after all!
