World Rabies Day 2026: Stronger Together

Every year, rabies claims tens of thousands of lives worldwide, and it is 100% preventable. In Bangladesh, dog bites remain a major cause of rabies deaths, but we have the tools to end this disease.

On this World Rabies Day, One Health Youth Alliance Bangladesh (OHYAB) reminds everyone that ending rabies takes all of us:

✓Vaccinate your pets
✓Wash bite wounds with soap and water for 15 minutes
✓Seek medical care immediately after any bite

Together, we can end rabies.

The 3rd One Health Youth Symposium in Bangladesh 2026, organized by the One Health Youth Alliance Bangladesh in collaboration with the American International University-Bangladesh, brought together 100 participants from at least 22 institutions.

The symposium featured expert sessions, workshops, scientific presentations, competitions and the inauguration of AIUB’s One Health+ Center.

University Grants Commission of Bangladesh (UGC) shared a moment from our event, the 3rd National One Health Youth Symposium — and honestly, it means the world to us.
