পুনর্ব্যবহার (Recycle) ও টেকসই বাংলাদেশ: আমাদের দায়িত্ব!

বর্তমানে বাংলাদেশ জলবায়ু পরিবর্তন, বর্জ্য ব্যবস্থাপনার সংকট, ও দারিদ্র্যের মতো নানা চ্যালেঞ্জের মুখে দাঁড়িয়ে আছে। আমরা যদি সঠিকভাবে পুনর্ব্যবহার (recycling) এবং পুনঃব্যবহারযোগ্য (reuse) পণ্যের ব্যবহার শুরু করি, তাহলে শুধু পরিবেশ রক্ষাই নয়, বরং অসংখ্য মানুষের জীবনমান উন্নয়নেও ভূমিকা রাখতে পারবো।

আমাদের দেশে প্রতিদিন প্রায় ২৬ হাজার টন বর্জ্য উৎপন্ন হয়, যার মধ্যে ১০ হাজার টনই ঢাকা শহরে! (সূত্র: ঢাকা সিটি কর্পোরেশন, ২০২৩)। কিন্তু এই বর্জ্যের বড় অংশই পুনর্ব্যবহারযোগ্য, যা সঠিক ব্যবস্থাপনার অভাবে নষ্ট হচ্ছে।
