After the 2017 crisis, our former ACF-NRS Field Coordinator Adam Tousley took the time to visit us. In one of our most difficult moments, he stood beside us — showing genuine care, compassion, and humanity.

Even in hardship, he did not forget us.

Once upon a time, ACF NRS teams were second biggest mission all over the world.

For 3,086 long days, Rohingya refugees in camps across Bangladesh have held onto a single hope to return home. Every sunrise renews the same dream, and every night ends with the same waiting.

Many Rohingya have been living in the world’s largest refugee camp in Cox’s Bazar for almost 9 years – some even for decades.

Every day, they hope tomorrow will bring good news - news of returning home, voluntarily, w/ safety, dignity & rights.

But the future remains uncertain🕯️

ACF–NRS Former Staff Unity Platform

The ACF–NRS Former Staff Unity Platform is a collective of former humanitarian workers who once served together in Northern Rakhine State (NRS), Myanmar. United by a shared mission and lived experience, our members worked side by side to support vulnerable communities during challenging and meaningful times.

Today, we are spread across different countries. Despite the distance, our connection remains strong. We remember our time in NRS with respect, gratitude, and solidarity, memories shaped by teamwork, resilience, and a deep commitment to humanitarian values.

This platform exists to maintain our unity, honor our shared past, support one another in the present, and keep alive the spirit of compassion and service that brought us together in NRS.
