On January 13, 2026, Ornab Cox's Bazar Organized Project Inception meeting for its project titled “Site Management and Site Development (SMSD) Support in camp 13” with funding and technical support from IOM. The project initiative aims to enhance service delivery, sustainable livelihoods and infrastructure through community engagement in camp 13.
Md. Nurul Azim, Management Advisor of Ornab Cox’s Bazar, inaugurated the inception meeting with an inspiring speech highlighting Ornab’s longstanding humanitarian efforts in education, women empowerment, skills development, and social development. He emphasized collaboration with agencies working inside camps to ensure effective implementation.
Chief Guest Mr Al Imran, Camp in Charge of Camp 13, thanked Ornab Cox’s Bazar for working in camp 13. He stressed on joint collaboration with other service providers in the camp and keep regular contact with the camp adminsitration. IOM representative of camp 13 Mr. Tanvir Kashem Imarn sought cooperation from all service providers and community leaders for successful implementation of the project. Project Coordinator Md. Alamgir Hossain presented project objectives.
The meeting featured contributions from site management teams, NGOs, WASH, education, livelihoods experts, and community leaders, who shared experiences of community needs and gaps and best practices to overcome these gaps through the project. The meeting was attended by different service providers in the camp and community leaders. The programme was facilitated by Programme Director, Ornab Cox’s Bazar Abu Zafar Mohammad Sadeque.
