Child marriage is a serious social issue that deprives children of their education, health, and the opportunity to build a better future. To raise public awareness LOYL Bangladesh -Child & Youth Forum organized a Child Marriage Awareness Leaflet Distribution Campaign at the local market.

Our dedicated volunteers distributed informative leaflets among shopkeepers, parents, young people, and community members, highlighting the harmful effects of child marriage, the relevant laws, and the collective responsibility to prevent it.
Together, we can create a safer and brighter future for every child.

Let's stand together and say:
No to Child Marriage, Yes to Education and a Brighter Future.

জলবায়ু পরিবর্তনের পেছনে বড় কারণ হলো বন উজাড়, জীবাশ্ম জ্বালানি পোড়ানো, অতিরিক্ত প্লাস্টিকের ব্যবহার আর বাতাস, পানি ও মাটির দূষণ। এর প্রভাবে তাপমাত্রা বাড়ছে, ঘূর্ণিঝড় আরও তীব্র হচ্ছে, অনিয়মিত বৃষ্টিপাত আর সমুদ্রপৃষ্ঠের উচ্চতা বৃদ্ধি পাচ্ছে। এসব আমাদের খাদ্য, সুপেয় পানি ও স্বাস্থ্যকেও হুমকির মুখে ফেলছে। আর কিন্তু আমরা যদি চাই পরিবর্তন সম্ভব। গাছ লাগানো, বিদ্যুতের অপচয় কমানো, প্লাস্টিক কম ব্যবহার করা, পরিবেশবান্ধব যাতায়াত ব্যবহার করা আর সবাইকে সচেতন করা খুবই জরুরি।

আসুন আমরা সবাই মিলে দায়িত্ব নিয়ে আমাদের এই পৃথিবীটাকে রক্ষা করি, কারণ ভবিষ্যৎ প্রজন্মের জন্য একটা বাসযোগ্য পৃথিবী রেখে যাওয়াই আমাদের সবচেয়ে বড় দায়িত্ব।

It was a proud and inspiring day for our representatives participated in the Impact Plus Club – Adolescent Recognition & Reward Ceremony.
During the event, our members had the opportunity to learn from inspiring stories, exchange experiences with fellow adolescents, and gain valuable knowledge on leadership, personal development, and positive social impact.

One of our representatives was also honored with a Recognition & Reward Award, presented by the respected Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO), along with distinguished officials from the Department of Youth Development and other esteemed guests. This achievement reflects the dedication and commitment of young leaders who are working to create positive change in their communities.
The event encouraged our members to strengthen their confidence, improve their leadership skills, and continue contributing to society with passion and responsibility.

আজ পালংখালী ইউনিয়ন শিশু ও যুব ফোরামের পক্ষ থেকে মাননীয় ইউনিয়ন পরিষদ চেয়ারম্যান মহোদয়ের নিকট শিশুদের জন্য বরাদ্দকৃত সরকারী বাজেটের একটি অংশ শিশুদের উন্নয়নমূল কার্যক্রমে ব্যবহারের জন্য প্রস্তাবনা জমা দেওয়া হয়। চেয়ারম্যান মহোদয় প্রস্তাবটি গ্রহণ করে সমর্থন জানিয়েছেন এবং একটি তারিখ নির্ধারণ করে দিয়েছেন। উক্ত তারিখে উপস্থাপিত সামগ্রী প্রদান করার আশ্বাস‌ও দিয়েছেন।

A significant dialogue on Ensuring a Dedicated Budget for Children in the Annual Budget of Union Parishads to Build Child-Friendly Local Government was held at Rajapalong Union Parishad.

Representatives of LOYL Bangladesh -Child & Youth Forum actively participated in the dialogue, contributing valuable recommendations on child rights, child protection, preventing child marriage, improving access to education and healthcare, and ensuring meaningful child participation in local governance and budgeting processes.
During the session, the Honourable Chairman of Rajapalong Union Parishad engaged in a constructive and positive discussion, emphasizing the importance of allocating a dedicated budget for children and strengthening local government initiatives to create a safer, more inclusive, and child-friendly community.
We firmly believe that prioritizing children's needs in local planning and budgeting is a crucial step toward ensuring their rights, protection, and overall well-being.

We remains committed to working alongside local government, development partners, and community stakeholders to promote child rights and build child-friendly communities.

A meaningful Stakeholders' Meeting on Child Marriage Prevention and Reporting System was successfully held at the Foodies Conference Room, bringing together key stakeholders to strengthen collaboration in preventing child marriage and improving reporting and referral mechanisms.

Representatives from LOYL Bangladesh -Child & Youth Forum actively participated in the meeting, sharing insights and engaging in constructive discussions on child protection, community awareness, early reporting,coordinated response mechanisms, and the collective responsibilities of stakeholders in preventing child marriage.

The meeting highlighted the importance of strengthening partnerships among local government institutions, community leaders, development organizations, and youth representatives to ensure every child grows up in a safe, protective, and supportive environment.

We remains committed to working alongside all stakeholders to raise awareness, promote child rights, and contribute to building a child-friendly and child marriage-free society.

বিশ্ব পরিবেশ দিবস ২০২৬ উপলক্ষে CNRS, পরিবেশ অধিদপ্তর (DoE) এবং বাংলাদেশ এনভায়রনমেন্টাল লইয়ার্স অ্যাসোসিয়েশন (BELA) যৌথভাবে আয়োজিত "Enhancing Resilience in the Sundarbans Ecologically Critical Area (ECA): Voices from the Grassroots" শীর্ষক সেমিনারে LOYL Bangladesh-এর পক্ষ থেকে ২ জন প্রতিনিধি অংশগ্রহণ করেন।

এই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ আয়োজনে জলবায়ু পরিবর্তন, সুন্দরবন সংরক্ষণ, প্রকৃতি-ভিত্তিক সমাধান (Nature-based Solutions), স্থানীয় জনগণের অভিজ্ঞতা, যুব নেতৃত্ব এবং সম্প্রদায়ভিত্তিক অভিযোজন নিয়ে মূল্যবান আলোচনা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।

আমাদের প্রতিনিধিদের অংশগ্রহণের মাধ্যমে মাঠ পর্যায়ের অভিজ্ঞতা, নতুন ধারণা এবং বিভিন্ন অংশীজনের সঙ্গে সংযোগ স্থাপনের সুযোগ তৈরি হয়েছে, যা ভবিষ্যতে LOYL Bangladesh-এর জলবায়ু ও পরিবেশ বিষয়ক উদ্যোগকে আরও শক্তিশালী করতে সহায়তা করবে।
