Eid Without Sacrifice: Reduced Rations Dim Festivities in Rohingya Camps
Rohingya Rights Initiative (RRI) expresses deep concern as thousands of Rohingya families in the refugee camps face another painful Eid-ul-Adha amid reduced food rations, poverty, and ongoing humanitarian suffering.
While Muslims around the world prepare to celebrate Eid with sacrifice and joy, many Rohingya families are struggling to secure even basic meals. For displaced communities who once celebrated Eid with dignity in their homeland, this yearโs Eid remains marked by hardship, uncertainty, and loss.
RRI calls on the international community, humanitarian agencies, and global leaders to urgently address the worsening conditions in the camps and ensure that Rohingya families can live with dignity, safety, and hope.
No one should be forgotten during Eid.
