The continuous heavy rainfall has once again brought devastating floods and landslides across the Rohingya refugee camps, leaving families in unimaginable grief. Tragically, some parents have lost their beloved children to these disasters, while countless others have lost their shelters, belongings, and their sense of safety.
This is not just a humanitarian emergency, it is a human tragedy that continues to unfold. The lives of refugees living in these critical conditions become even more vulnerable with every heavy rain, as overcrowded shelters and unstable hillsides put thousands at constant risk.
We urgently call upon the international community, humanitarian partners, donors, and global leaders to stand with the affected families. Immediate emergency support, strengthened disaster preparedness, safer shelter solutions, and sustained humanitarian assistance are needed now more than ever.
Every child deserves the chance to grow up safely. Every family deserves protection from preventable disasters. We cannot allow these tragedies to become the new normal.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the families who have lost their loved ones, and with everyone affected by this ongoing crisis.
The world must not look away. The time to act is now.
