9th Anniversary of Rohingya Genocide Remembrance Day 25 August

25 August 2026 marks the 9th anniversary of the Rohingya genocide and our continued exile. We remember those who lost their lives, honor the survivors, and stand with every Rohingya family separated from their homeland.

Our history must not be forgotten. Our suffering must not be denied. We continue to call for justice, accountability, dignity, full rights, and a safe, voluntary and dignified return to our homeland, Myanmar.

We remember. We resist. We remain. We will return with dignity.

Today, relentless monsoon rains have flooded thousands of Rohingya refugee shelters in Cox's Bazar. Behind every flooded shelter is a family struggling to stay safe, protect their children, and hold onto hope.

This is more than a humanitarian crisis, it is a reminder that the Rohingya continue to live without a safe home, dignity, or a lasting solution. We hope for justice, protection, and the right to return voluntarily to our homeland with full citizenship, equal rights, and lasting peace.

Please don't forget the Rohingya. Stand with humanity.

With deep sorrow, we mourn the tragic loss of three Rohingya refugees, including a four-year-old child, who lost their lives in a landslide caused by heavy monsoon rains in Camp 15, Jamtoli, Cox's Bazar.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the grieving family and all those affected. This heartbreaking incident is a reminder of the urgent need to protect vulnerable refugee families during the monsoon season.

Together, let us continue to stand with the Rohingya community and support efforts to save lives and bring hope.

On this World Refugee Day, let us renew our commitment to human rights, justice, inclusion, and compassion for all. Together, we can build a world where every refugee is treated with dignity and given the opportunity to live in peace and safety.
