গতকাল ১৯ আগস্ট ২০২৬ তারিখে Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB) ও Plan International Bangladesh-এর সহযোগিতায় অনুষ্ঠিত National Youth Event on TVET Popularization & Career Pathway Platform Launch-এ JYDA Bangladesh-এর প্রতিনিধি Sharmin Khan Mitu এবং Yasin Arafat অংশগ্রহণ করেন।

অনুষ্ঠানে TVET, দক্ষতা উন্নয়ন, কর্মসংস্থান, উদ্যোক্তা হওয়া, ICT ও গ্রিন স্কিলসহ তরুণদের ভবিষ্যৎ ক্যারিয়ার সম্ভাবনা নিয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ আলোচনা হয়। তরুণী ও নারীদের কারিগরি শিক্ষায় অংশগ্রহণ ও অর্থনৈতিক ক্ষমতায়নের ওপরও বিশেষ গুরুত্ব দেওয়া হয়।

JYDA Bangladesh তরুণদের দক্ষতা উন্নয়ন ও কর্মসংস্থানের সুযোগ বৃদ্ধিতে এমন উদ্যোগকে স্বাগত জানায়।

আপনাদের বিশ্বাস ও আস্থার মানবিক উদ্যেগ বাস্তবায়নে
আজ JYDA Bangladesh ও Teddoria -এর যৌথ উদ্যোগে নির্মাণাধীন ঘরটি পরিদর্শন করা হয়। পরিদর্শনে উপস্থিত ছিলেন JYDA Bangladesh-এর প্রতিনিধি Md Naeem এবং Teddoria-এর প্রতিনিধি হিসেবে ঈসমাইল ভাই।

পরিদর্শনকালে দেখা যায়, ঘরটির নির্মাণকাজ উল্লেখযোগ্যভাবে এগিয়ে গেছে। আবহাওয়া অনুকূলে থাকলে খুব শিগগিরই নির্মাণকাজ সম্পন্ন হবে বলে আশা করা যাচ্ছে।

মানুষের পাশে থাকার এই উদ্যোগে সহযোগিতার জন্য সংশ্লিষ্ট সকলকে আন্তরিক ধন্যবাদ।

KHANI Annual Meet-up 2026

JYDA Bangladesh, as a member organization of the KHANI Bangladesh Network, participated in the KHANI Annual Meet-up 2026, held in Hotel Lake Castle, Dhaka on 10–11 August 2026.

JYDA Bangladesh was represented by our Executive Director, Mr. Shahrukh Karim, who joined the two-day gathering alongside member organizations, rights-based organizations, researchers, experts and development partners.

The annual meet-up focused on advancing the Right to Food and Nutrition and discussed key issues including food prices and inflation, farmers’ fair prices, women farmers’ recognition, agricultural and land reform, social protection, labour rights, food safety, market management and the impacts of climate change.

The event also provided an important platform for member organizations to reflect on collective priorities, strengthen coordination, exchange experiences and contribute to future advocacy and policy engagement for a more just and sustainable food system.

As a youth-led organization working with climate-vulnerable communities, farmers, youth and marginalized groups, JYDA Bangladesh remains committed to contributing to collective efforts for food justice, climate justice and inclusive development.

We are grateful to KHANI Secretariat organization PRAAN - Participatory Research & Action Network for bringing together diverse civil society voices and creating space for meaningful collaboration.

পরিচ্ছন্নতাকর্মীদের সুস্বাস্থ্য নিশ্চিত করার লক্ষ্যে The Coca-Cola Foundation ও United Nations Development Programme - UNDP -এর অর্থায়নে এবং Young Power in Social Action (YPSA) -এর বাস্তবায়নে পরিচালিত প্লাস্টিক সার্কুলার প্রজেক্টের আওতায় একটি ফ্রি স্বাস্থ্যসেবা ক্যাম্পেইন অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে।

এই আয়োজনে বাস্তবায়ন সহযোগী হিসেবে কাজ করেছে JYDA Bangladesh-এর স্বেচ্ছাসেবীরা। ১২ আগস্ট কক্সবাজার পৌরসভার ১১ নম্বর ওয়ার্ডের গাড়ির মাঠে অনুষ্ঠিত এই ক্যাম্পেইনের মাধ্যমে পরিচ্ছন্নতাকর্মীদের স্বাস্থ্যসেবা প্রদান করা হয়।

এ ধরনের উদ্যোগ পরিচ্ছন্নতাকর্মীদের প্রতি আমাদের দায়বদ্ধতাকে আরও শক্তিশালী করবে বলে আমরা বিশ্বাস করি।

Strengthening Institutional Capacity through Policy Development

On 05 August 2026, JYDA Bangladesh successfully organized the "Consultation and Validation Workshop on the Procurement Policy Development" at the JYDA Head Office, Cox's Bazar under the Youth-led Peacebuilding and Social Cohesion (YPSC) Initiative Bangladesh and Myanmar Project, supported by ActionAid Bangladesh and European Union in Bangladesh. The workshop was conducted as part of JYDA Bangladesh's ongoing efforts to strengthen organizational governance, accountability, and institutional capacity.

The workshop brought together members of the Volunteer Policy Development Team, organizational representatives, and key stakeholders to review the draft Procurement Policy. Participants actively discussed the policy provisions and shared valuable feedback and recommendations to ensure the policy reflects principles of transparency, fairness, accountability, value for money, and compliance with organizational standards and best practices.

The validation process also served as a learning platform, enabling participants to enhance their understanding of ethical procurement systems and institutional governance. The recommendations generated during the workshop will be incorporated into the final version of the Procurement Policy before its formal approval and implementation across the organization.

This milestone marks another important step under the YPSC Project in strengthening youth-led organizations through improved governance systems, sustainable institutional development, and effective organizational management.
