Climate-Smart Farmer Group Formation & Training

JYDA Bangladesh successfully formed 02 (Men-Women) Climate-Smart Farmer Groups and organized training sessions on climate-resilient agricultural demonstrations in Jhilongjha, Cox’s Bazar.

With our support, the groups are now actively producing Vermicompost and Tricho Compost using climate-smart and environmentally friendly approaches. The farmers received training, compost setup support, and technical guidance from agricultural experts to strengthen their practical knowledge and sustainable farming skills.

These initiatives are helping community members improve soil health, reduce dependency on chemical fertilizers, and promote sustainable agricultural practices at the grassroots level. 🌾💚

Beyond farming, the groups are also building collective strength, collaboration, and community resilience through joint learning and participation.

This initiative was implemented by JYDA Bangladesh under the Youth Climate Action Small Grant 2025, supported by VSO Bangladesh.

Tree Plantation Activity Successfully Completed

As part of our climate action initiatives, JYDA Bangladesh successfully completed a tree plantation activity in Jhilongjha involving youth volunteers and community members. 💚

Through this initiative, different fruit and forest tree saplings were planted to promote environmental conservation, increase green coverage, and encourage community participation in climate action.

It was inspiring to see young people and local community members coming together with a shared commitment to protecting nature and building a greener future.

Small actions like tree plantation can create long-term positive impact for our environment and future generations.

This initiative was implemented by JYDA Bangladesh under the Youth Climate Action Small Grant 2025, supported by VSO Bangladesh.

তরুণদের নেতৃত্বেই গড়ে উঠবে টেকসই আগামীর বাংলাদেশ!

গর্বের সাথে জানাচ্ছি যে JYDA Bangladesh এর ঢাকা টিম লিড শারমিন খান মিতু “ Youth for NDCs Implementers Fellowship Bootcamp” এ অংশগ্রহণ করেছেন, যা গাজীপুরে এ অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।

Youth for NDCs এর আয়োজনে, YECAP এবং United Nations Development Programme - UNDP বাংলাদেশ এর সহযোগিতায় আয়োজিত এই ৩ দিনব্যাপী বুটক্যাম্পে দেশের বিভিন্ন প্রান্তের তরুণরা একত্রিত হয়ে জলবায়ু পরিবর্তন মোকাবিলা ও NDC 3.0 বাস্তবায়নে নিজেদের ভাবনা, উদ্ভাবনী প্রকল্প এবং নেতৃত্বের দক্ষতা তুলে ধরেছেন।

শেখা, সংযোগ এবং একসাথে পরিবর্তন আনার এই যাত্রার অংশ হতে পেরে আমরা আনন্দিত। 💚

We Want Justice, Climate Justice!

জীবাশ্ম জ্বালানি থেকে সরে এসে নবায়নযোগ্য জ্বালানিতে দ্রুত ও ন্যায্য রূপান্তরের দাবিতে আমরা আবারও রাজপথে একত্রিত হয়েছি। বৈশ্বিক ক্যাম্পেইন -এর অংশ হিসেবে আয়োজিত -এ দেশের ৩০টি যুব সংগঠন ও ইয়ুথ হাবের শতাধিক তরুণ জলবায়ু কর্মী অংশগ্রহণ করেন।

পরিবেশ ও জনস্বাস্থ্যের ওপর প্লাস্টিক ও জীবাশ্ম জ্বালানির ভয়াবহ প্রভাব তুলে ধরতে সমাবেশে পরিত্যক্ত প্লাস্টিক দিয়ে তৈরি একটি বিশাল ‘দানব’ প্রদর্শন করা হয়। পাশাপাশি জীবাশ্ম জ্বালানিজনিত স্বাস্থ্যঝুঁকির প্রতীক হিসেবে আন্দোলনকারীরা মাস্ক পরে প্রতীকী প্রতিবাদ জানান।

সবশেষে মানিক মিয়া এভিনিউতে এক বর্ণাঢ্য র‍্যালির মাধ্যমে কর্মসূচির সমাপ্তি ঘটে। এতে JYDA Bangladesh-এর প্রতিনিধি হিসেবে ইয়াসিন ভাই প্রতিনিধিত্ব করেন। ✊
