Our Executive Director Mr Yasin Arfath is a prominent refugee advocate, and his work is rooted in lived experience and a commitment to uplifting displaced communities. As a former refugee himself, he leads organizational strategy, coordinates field operations, and works directly with refugee camps in Bangladesh to ensure access to resources. Yasin is committed to amplifying the voices of refugees and catalyzing their start to new beginnings.

To mark Rohingya Genocide Day, we are launching a special competition to discover and encourage Rohingya citizen journalists. This is your chance to share authentic survivor stories and make your voice heard.

🎥 Video Making (3–5 minutes)
Tell the story of a genocide survivor through video.

🏆 Prizes: 1st – BDT 4,000 | 2nd – BDT 3,000

🎖️ Two participants will also receive BDT 1,000 each.

✍️ Storytelling (Written Story)
Write the story of a genocide survivor (feature or Q&A format).

📌 Requirement: An audio recording of the interview must be submitted with the story.

🏆 Prizes: 1st – BDT 2,500 | 2nd – BDT 2,000

🎖️ Two participants will also receive BDT 1,000 each.
