On 13 October 2026, RW Welfare Society (RWWS) had the honour of welcoming representatives from the Embassy of Switzerland in Bangladesh to its Multi-Purpose Women’s Centre (MPWC) in Camp 25, Cox’s Bazar.
The delegation included Mr. Marc Dietrich, Program Manager, Nexus; Mr. Simon Martin, Program Manager, Humanitarian Aid and CDE; and Mr. Tanbir Uddin Arman, National Program Officer. They were accompanied by Silja Rajander and Magfuzur Rahman Shana from UN Women, Shaheda Khatun Dalim, Project Manager – Protection and Livelihood, and Oshin from ActionAid.
During the visit, the delegation participated in two discussion sessions—one with RWWS staff and volunteers and another with Community Watch Group (CWG) members. These exchanges provided an opportunity to discuss ongoing activities, community engagement, and the work being carried out to support women and girls through the MPWC.
The visit concluded on a warm and inspiring note as trainees from the RWWS vocational training programme proudly served cakes and biscuits they had prepared, showcasing their practical skills and learning achievements.
Representing RWWS were Shahida Parvin, Project Manager; Shahin Akter, former Project Manager; Taslima Akter, Center Manager, MPWC Camp 25; and Noorjahan Begum Rumi, Center Manager, MPWC Camp 14.
RWWS sincerely appreciates the delegation’s visit and the continued engagement of its partners in supporting women’s empowerment, community participation, protection, and sustainable livelihood opportunities for women and girls in Cox’s Bazar.
