🌸 International Women’s Day Celebration 2026 🌸

With the theme “আজকের পদক্ষেপ, আগামীর ন্যায়বিচার: সুরক্ষিত হোক নারী ও কন্যার অধিকার”, Young Power in Social Action (YPSA) organized a program on 9 March 2026 in Bakalia, Chattogram to celebrate International Women's Day under the Youth Share Net project, with support from RedOrange and Amplify Change.

The event aimed to promote awareness on protecting the rights of women and girls and preventing gender-based violence through community engagement and youth participation. Youth members from local organizations including Ushar Alo Youth Association, Jagrata Jubosamajik Sangha, Youth Voice for Change, and KAYO Bangladesh actively took part in the program.

The event featured discussions on women’s rights, digital safety, and the importance of challenging patriarchal attitudes in society. A shadow debate competition on “Women’s economic independence is the key to true empowerment” was also organized, encouraging youth to express their perspectives on gender equality and empowerment.

The program concluded with an awareness rally, poster exhibition, and prize distribution, spreading the message of zero tolerance for violence against women and inspiring young people to become agents of positive social change.
