The Water Resources and Research Organization (WRRO) is a multidisciplinary, student-led initiative founded by students of the Department of Water Resources Engineering at Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET). WRRO focuses on research and innovation in hydrology, hydraulics, hydrodynamics, water modeling, GIS, machine learning (ML), and sustainability. Our mission is to bridge academic learning with real-world applications by promoting interdisciplinary collaboration and technology-driven solutions for water and environmental challenges. We aim to empower students and young professionals to lead meaningful change in the water sector through hands-on projects, research initiatives, and technical training.
WRRO integrates engineering principles with advanced tools to develop data-driven, climate-resilient water management strategies. Our vision is to become a leading student-driven platform for sustainable innovation and collaboration in water resources. What sets WRRO apart is our commitment to connecting knowledge with impact—blending scientific research, fieldwork, and community engagement.
Through workshops, field-based learning, and research collaborations, we create opportunities for students to explore, experiment, and contribute to solving pressing water-related problems. WRRO is more than an organization—it’s a platform where innovation meets responsibility, and where future water leaders are shaped to serve both people and the planet.
