🌿🇱🇰 Donation Programme for Ditwah Cyclone–Affected Sri Lanka Artillery Families Held at Panagoda
A heartfelt donation programme supporting Sri Lanka Artillery families affected by the Ditwah Cyclone was successfully held on 31 January 2026 at the Artillery Regimental Centre, Panagoda, in collaboration with the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Sri Lanka Artillery.
During the event, dry ration packs were distributed to soldiers impacted by the cyclone, while their children received school bags filled with essential stationery bringing both relief and encouragement during challenging times.
This meaningful initiative was made possible through the generous contributions of the Sri Lankan Association of Chittagong (SLAC), which provided over 100 dry ration packs and 50 school bags with stationery, reflecting strong solidarity and compassion towards the Sri Lanka Artillery community.
The programme was coordinated by Col. Jayanath De Silva USP IG together with his spouse Mrs. Sumedha De Soyza, and conducted under the guidance of Major General KVNP Premaratne RSP USP nps psc, Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force and Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Artillery, alongside the President of the Seva Vanitha Branch.
Senior Officers, Officers, their spouses, and members of the Sri Lanka Artillery participated in this inspiring event, a true reflection of unity, care, and support for soldiers and their families during times of need.
