Underneath these heavy, darkening skies lies a landscape of endless struggle.

Years have passed, yet millions of Rohingya refugees remain trapped in a cycle of loss, uncertainty, and grief. The makeshift roofs below offer shelter from the rain, but they cannot shield families from the painful longing for a home that feels further away each passing day.

Every gray cloud mirrors the weight carried in the hearts of mothers, fathers, and children who only want peace, dignity, and a place to truly belong. Their resilience is undeniable, but the world must not let their suffering blend into the background.

A Heartbreaking Tragedy in the Rohingya Refugee Camps
It is with profound sadness that I share the devastating news from Camp 5, Block A, where a reported soil erosion and landslide struck a female madrasa.
Initial reports indicate that more than 40 girls may have lost their lives, while many others are feared injured or affected. Families have been left grieving, and the entire refugee community is in shock.
As someone from the Rohingya community, my heart breaks for every child, every family, and every life lost. No one should have to endure such a tragedy.
I respectfully call upon the international community, humanitarian organizations, donors, and all people of goodwill to stand with the Rohingya people during this difficult time. Emergency assistance, protection measures, and stronger disaster-risk reduction efforts are urgently needed to help prevent future tragedies.
Please keep the victims, the injured, and their families in your thoughts and prayers.
May the souls of those who lost their lives rest in peace, and may their families find strength and comfort in this time of unimaginable grief.

Another heartbreaking tragedy has struck our Rohingya refugee community. 💔
A devastating landslide in Camp 11, Block C-11, has claimed the lives of four innocent people, including a mother, her two beloved children, and her sister. This heartbreaking incident is a painful reminder of the dangers that many refugee families continue to face, especially during the monsoon season.
No family should ever have to experience such an unimaginable loss. Behind every life lost were dreams, hopes, and loved ones who will now carry the pain of this tragedy forever. Our hearts and prayers are with the grieving family and everyone affected by this devastating event.
May Allah (SWT), the Most Merciful, forgive their sins, accept their good deeds, and grant them the highest place in Jannatul Firdaus. May He fill their graves with light, peace, and mercy.
We also pray that Allah (SWT) grants strength, patience, and comfort to their family members and all those mourning this immense loss. May He protect every man, woman, and child living in the refugee camps from further tragedies and keep them safe from harm during this difficult season.
Let us remember the victims in our prayers and continue to stand in solidarity with all those affected.
Indeed, to Allah we belong, and to Him we shall return. (Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un).
Ameen.

Eight Rohingya refugees, including a child, were killed in three separate landslides after heavy rain in the Rohingya refugee camps in Cox's Bazar.

Camp 15 (Zamtoli): 3 death
Camp 7 (Kutupalong): 1 child death
Camp 11 (Balukhali): 4 death

These are Rohingya genocide survivors. They survived genocide in Burma and now they are dying in refugee camps that should be safe.

My deepest condolences go to the families who have lost their loved ones. After everything they have suffered, no family should have to endure another preventable tragedy.

The international community promised to protect the Rohingya. That promise cannot end because the world has grown tired of this crisis. Governments must do more to protect Rohingya refugees and improve the conditions they are forced to live in.
