FAISAL CROWNED INAUGURAL INTER-CHHATAK POOL CHAMPION

Saturday, 3 October — The inaugural Inter-Chhatak Pool Tournament, organised by Chhatak Sports Association (CSA) concluded in thrilling fashion on Saturday, as Faisal overcame dark horse Almas 4-2 in a compelling best-of-seven final.

The landmark event, which drew 20 players, marked a significant addition to the CSA calendar.

Competition began with a group stage, with the players divided into four groups of five. The top two from each group advanced to the quarter-finals, setting the stage for a knockout finale.

Faisal entered the final as the strong favourite, but Almas, the tournament’s surprise package, produced a determined performance to keep the contest alive. In the end, Faisal’s experience and composure proved decisive as he closed out the match 4-2 to claim the inaugural title.

“It was an entertaining final and a fitting way to end a superb first tournament,” said Jamal Hussain, Chair of CSA. “We congratulate Faisal on becoming our first champion and thank all 20 players for making the event such a success. We look forward to building on this foundation in the years ahead.”
