Chandradip Development Society (CDS) successfully participated in the Nagorikata Thematic Collaboration & Networking Event held on 3 May 2026 at Hotel Sonargaon, Dhaka.
The event aimed to bring together CEF Strategic Partners (SPs), grantees, consortium partners, and key stakeholders to connect, exchange ideas, and strengthen collaboration for advancing civic voice in Bangladesh. It provided a structured platform for dialogue and collective action across four priority thematic areas: Anti-Discrimination Law, Human Rights Defenders Protection Act, Gender Equality, and Youth Engagement.
The program commenced with welcome remarks by Dr. Adi Walker, Team Leader, and Katharina König, Deputy Team Leader of Nagorikata: Civic Engagement Fund (CEF), followed by remarks from Mr. Michal Krejza, Head of Cooperation at the European Union. The inaugural address was delivered by Dr. Saimum Parvez, Special Assistant to the Honourable Prime Minister on Environment, Forestry and Climate Change.
The closing session was graced by Special Guest Dr. Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir, Adviser to the Honourable Prime Minister on Finance and Planning. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Ms. Corinne Thévoz, Deputy Head of Cooperation at the Embassy of Switzerland.
CDS actively engaged in the discussions, contributing insights and learning from diverse stakeholders. The event marked an important step in strengthening partnerships, fostering dialogue, and promoting joint action for inclusive and sustainable civic engagement in Bangladesh.
