Meet our speaker: Sangene Watkins-Diagne, Director, Business Compliance Division, Ministry of Energy, Business Development and Consumer Affairs.

With more than 20 years in global business, Sangene has served with the Division (formerly the International Business Unit) since 2004, including as Deputy Director overseeing the growth of its Compliance Department. She works closely with the OECD on the BEPS programme, sits as Barbados' representative on the Global Forum Peer Review Group, and is Barbados' Lead Negotiator for Double Taxation and Bilateral Investment Treaties.

She joins the Regulatory Update on Day 2 of the Global Business Conference 2026, alongside the Financial Services Commission, the Barbados Revenue Authority and Business Barbados.
