💗 BAJAN SIGMAS STAND MORE THAN PINK! 💗

From Barbados 🇧🇧 to Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi 🌺, our commitment to service knows no boundaries!

Today, October 11, 2026, was a meaningful and successful day as our Social Action Director, Bro. Romaine Kirton-Smith, proudly represented the Upsilon Omicron Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. at the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk here on the beautiful island of Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi.

It was truly inspiring to stand alongside survivors, families, supporters, and so many others united by one purpose: bringing hope, raising awareness, and making a difference in the fight against breast cancer.

💗 The walk may be over, but the fight continues!

Breast cancer awareness goes beyond wearing pink or participating in a walk. It’s about encouraging early detection, supporting those undergoing treatment, remembering the loved ones we’ve lost, and making sure no one faces this journey alone.

On behalf of the Brothers of the Bajan Sigmas, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to everyone who has donated, shared our fundraising efforts, offered words of encouragement, or supported this cause in any way. Your kindness and generosity mean more than you know.

The Brothers of the Upsilon Omicron Sigma Chapter (Bajan Sigmas) of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., proudly extend our heartfelt congratulations and a warm welcome to the 10 newest members of the Delta Epsilon Sigma Chapter in Nassau, Bahamas, who joined our great Brotherhood during the 2026 Bahamas State Conference, held October 9–10, 2026.

A special congratulations to The Honorable Philip Edward “Brave” Davis, the 5th Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, on becoming a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.!

This is truly a historic occasion for our fraternity and a proud moment for our Caribbean Sigma family. We celebrate these 10 Brothers as they begin their journey of upholding our cherished principles of Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Service.

🇧🇧 Giving Back to Our Community, One Life at a Time!

The Brothers of the Upsilon Omicron Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. (Bajan Sigmas) are proud to announce our contribution of $800 BBD to the Barbados Cancer Society’s Breast Screening Program.

Our Chapter President, Bro. Rommel Cave, and Vice President, Bro. Carl L. Marshall, officially presented the donation cheque to Mrs. Betty Lynch, supporting the Society’s continued efforts to promote breast cancer awareness and early detection across Barbados.

🎀 Why This Program Matters

The Barbados Cancer Society’s Breast Screening Program provides key services, including mammograms, breast ultrasounds, clinical breast examinations, and community outreach.

These services help individuals become more informed about breast health and encourage early detection, which can significantly improve treatment outcomes.

💙 Service Beyond Words

For the Bajan Sigmas, this contribution represents more than a financial donation. It’s about standing alongside those affected by breast cancer, supporting the organizations working tirelessly to save lives, and making a meaningful difference in the communities we serve.

We commend the Barbados Cancer Society for its continued dedication to cancer awareness, prevention, and patient support.

Today, the Brothers of the Upsilon Omicron Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. pause to remember September 11, 2001, and honor the lives forever changed by that day.

We remember the innocent lives lost, the families who continue to carry their memory, and the first responders, service members, and everyday citizens who showed extraordinary courage when our nation needed them most.

Twenty-five years later, their sacrifice still reminds us of the strength found in service, compassion, and standing together during our darkest moments.

May we never forget those we lost. May we continue to honor those who served, sacrificed, and answered the call.

The Brothers of the Upsilon Omicron Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. proudly celebrate our Vice President, Bro. Carl L. Marshall, for the lasting impact he continues to make through service and leadership.

Recently, Bro. Marshall welcomed Morgan Parker, a remarkable 16 year old living with sickle cell disease, to serve as “Judge for a Day” at the Roselle Municipal Court. Morgan’s day included touring the courthouse, meeting the court staff, participating in a mock swearing in ceremony, presiding over a mock trial, and observing a live court session, bringing her dream of one day becoming a U.S. District Court Judge one step closer.

Despite battling sickle cell disease and enduring more than 50 hospitalizations, Morgan has maintained an “A” average, serves as a sickle cell ambassador, and continues to inspire others through her resilience, determination, and unwavering commitment to her future.

Bro. Marshall’s investment in Morgan’s journey is a powerful reminder that true leadership is measured by the lives we encourage, the doors we open, and the hope we inspire.

Congratulations, Bro. Marshall, on this well deserved recognition. Your dedication to uplifting young people and supporting the sickle cell community exemplifies the ideals of Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Service that define Phi Beta Sigma.

Upsilon Omicron Sigma Chapter Continues Its Commitment to Youth Development

The Brothers of the Upsilon Omicron Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. remain committed to uplifting the youth in our communities through meaningful service and mentorship.

As part of our Social Action and Education initiatives, our Chapter President and Director of Education proudly sponsored Raphael to attend the National Sports Summer Camp volleyball program at Ellerslie School, taking place July 6 through August 14, 2026.

Raphael recently lost his father in December and is currently under the care of his foster guardian. Beyond this sponsorship, our Director of Education also serves as a mentor, providing encouragement and support during this important chapter of his life.

We hope this opportunity allows Raphael to develop his athletic abilities, build confidence, and create lasting friendships while enjoying a positive and enriching summer experience.
