The Barbados Association of Muslim Ladies (BAML) was formed in November 2010.

The initial aim of the Association was to provide a context for Muslim females in Barbados to engage in activities which promoted personal, educational and social development. Throughout the years we have developed into an Association that focuses primarily on the following areas:

- The Education of Muslim girls and women
- Advocating for women’s rights and inclusion
- Inter-faith dialogue
- Organizing Outreach activities (Areas include health and environmental protection)
- Mobilizing resources for needy children, women and families

It takes away the safety you’re meant to feel.

This is not “being sensitive.”
This is abuse — and it is just as real, just as damaging, and just as dangerous as any other form.
