Today was the final day of .

We give a huge thanks to out teachers .zinner Lana Hadžiosmanović Oceania Bakir Lemeš our TAs and ajla♡ as well as our Program Manager Reece Hill and Program Coordinator Vildana Delibašić

We held the Social Entrepreneurship Challenge Day and a nature trip to Humilišani this year. Thank you to our partners, American Corner American Corner Mostar/ Education/ Youth Development Semina from Palestine House PALESTINSKA KUĆA and Anja Jerkovic and Wanja Lohmeier for joining and hosting us.

We also want to recognise and applaud our Social Committee! They planned events like Fashion Show and Coffee or Music Jams in the Park and created lasting friendships at .

Finally, and most importantly, thank you participants for joining us and for dedicating three weeks of your summer to . We had an amazing time getting to know all of our participants, and hope that they will return next year and keep engaging with MSYP.

It’s the final week of . We’re very excited for participants to start their second and final week of classes. Our participants have been introduced to subjects like climate Law, Sociology, Negotiations, Debates, Project Management and more. This week, they’ll continue learning about these topics in their classes while also attending workshops featuring Fondacija ACT who talked to us about local river ecology, and a workshop on Music - hosted by our TAs Ajla and Karla.

Tomorrow our social committee will be holding a sustainable fashion show, and on Thursday we will be having an 80s and 90s rock closing party, complete with a ‘banging’ playlist!

On Friday, participants will attend a closing ceremony and receive their hard-earned certificates.

Once again, thank you to UWC Mostar and the Velić Building staff for letting us use their space and keep following along on our profile to see what is up to.

Week 2 is nearly over already. Participants attended courses daily, and expanded their knowledge on each of their classes’ subjects.

This week, we were delighted to have workshops held by: one of our participants spoke about their new vineyard by-product business Vinèa , and our Program Manager Reece about using Google Streetview to explore our memories.

Our social committee has organised two great events this week, on Tuesday we held a photography treasure hunt, and tonight we are holding a jam in the park!

We want to give a thank you to our teachers and staff for their efforts this week, as well as UWC Mostar and the Velić Building for providing us with space to hold .

We are also very grateful and extend a huge thanks to Anja Jerkovic and Wanja Lohmeier for welcoming us to their farm for our nature trip tomorrow. Participants discussed how they envision nature being a part of their lives, made some delicious woodfired pizzas, and of course loved playing with the Anja and Wanja’s pets.

Our third and final week of starts on Monday, so make sure to follow as we complete another amazing year.

We’re now heading into Week 2 of MSYP 2026. Participants started their courses today, and have begun learning about a wide range of topics including: International Law, Sociology, Debate, Negotiations, Project Management and much more.

Over the next two weeks, we look forward to learning together about each subject and their complexities.
This afternoon we had an inspiring workshop from one of our participants on the subject of an award-winning business they have started up locally.

Throughout this week, participants will have a chance to attend more workshops and social events, ending the week with a nature trip to Humilišani on Friday.

✨ MSYP Day 5: Social Entrepreneurship Challenge!✨

Today was all about inspiration, resilience, and big ideas. We were incredibly honored to welcome the founder of Mostar’s Palestinian House PALESTINSKA KUĆA Bakery. As a mother of two and a refugee, she shared her powerful journey of building and running a business in Bosnia and Herzegovina, teaching our students that true entrepreneurship comes from the heart. ❤️

Fueled by her story, our students took on the ultimate challenge:
1️⃣ Analyzing real gaps in the market 🔍
2️⃣ Designing their very own social enterprises from scratch 📈
3️⃣ Pitching their business plans to a panel of judges 🎙️

The energy in the room was electric, and the jury had a tough time choosing, but a massive congratulations to the winning team for their brilliant, impactful idea!

Još uvijek imate priliku da se prijavite za MSYP 2026 i provedete nezaboravno ljeto.

MSYP je besplatan trosedmični/trotjedni program koji se odvija na engleskom jeziku i okuplja mlade ljude željne znanja, novih iskustava i prijateljstava iz različitih sredina.

Na MSYP-u istražujemo zanimljive teme koje se rijetko obrađuju u redovnim školskim kurikulumima, kroz interaktivne radionice, diskusije i praktične aktivnosti. Neki od naših prethodnih kurseva bili su Balkan Film Studies, Children's Book Illustration and Writing, Relationships, Communication and Responsibility, Mock Elections, Sustainable Development, Gender and Feminism in Contemporary BiH i Psychology, uz brojne druge zanimljive teme koje podstiču kritičko razmišljanje, kreativnost i lični razvoj.

✨ Program je potpuno besplatan.
🌿 Tokom programa organizovan je i izlet u prirodu.
📜 Po završetku programa svi učesnici dobijaju certifikat.
